Same thing here.

I haven't lost connectivity...technically that is. Though I consider achieving a download speed of 0.24 Mbps as having no internet. I usually get around 6 Mbps or so. That would be fine, but my iPhone 4 always gets at least 10 Mbps. I do speed tests from the exact same area of my apartment where I'm about 5 feet from my router with nothing blocking the direct view of it. I've had quite a few Apple products before this and never had a problem. In the last 6 months, I've had to have my iPhone replaced twice and my MacBook Pro isn't working right?! Wth?

I've had very little trouble. Early on there were some slowdowns and periods of very poor latency but lately it has been very good. And throughout the time I've had the computer what I've noticed most of all is that for the first time, a wireless card does not a) cause the computer to heat up or b) beat up on the battery.

2011 15" 2.3 HRAG

My troubles also started with 10.6.7... now WiFi is a constant PITA.

Also, if I sync my iPad2, then try to sync my iPhone 3Gs from the same port afterwards.. the iPhone refused to sync until I move to the other USB port.

I spoke too soon.
My 'airport' has decided to turn itself off no less than 10 times in the past 15 minutes. This is crazy and driving me mad.

Issues still ongoing. This is crazy. Random drop outs occurring very frequently now. I'm outside the 14 day period, but l have Purchased the Apple Care Plan. What would be my best option????

In all honesty, l love this laptop, the only issue is the WiFi drop outs.

Digging this one up from the grave because I just got through patching my new machine last night and I'm now getting abysmal speeds over wireless. Our iMac on the same wireless gateway has no connectivity issues whatsoever. I'll try a fresh SL install on a backup hard drive and see if I can't go through each individual update to see what caused it.

Im replying as I was very concerned about this issue BEFORE buying my MBP a month ago. I found it hard to get straight answers.

Anyway, no problems here. Ping times to my router below.

I've been getting this problem too..soo annoying because I love the machine, but hate the internet!!

I'm just within my 14-day window, but am on hols from tomorrow..hopefully Lion sorts it out?

Macbook Pro not connecting to the internet...

...it seems that there hasn't been any improvements, as my 2 week old MBP 13" i5 with 8GB RAM 500 GB HD has a persistnet problem connecting to the internet and staying connected. when connected, it's very slow. My reference point is the laptop I'm using to post this message - an ancient HP Compaq nc4200 running XP on a 1MG RAM.

This is my first Mac, and starting to regret the switch:mad:

Same problem here

I too have been having similar trouble with my MBP. Especially within the last 4 months or so. It's either a very weak connection or none at all. But my little 200 dollar Gateway netbook consistently gets 5 bars every time. I've been buying Apple products for over ten years now and this is the first time I have a feeling of buyer regret. 2000 dollars for this? Unacceptable.

After a few more updates, my WiFi seems to be working very good. Haven't had a drop out in a while now.

I think I too have had issues with the wifi. Performance deteriorates a tad. Since a while my wifi has completely stopped functioning. I have 2 routers (SMC & D-link) and none of them are working with my MBP. So temporarily I've been just using direct connection instead of wifi :(
