I wonder if any of you 768GB-ers called apple you could downgrade and get a 500GB SSD and get it shipped tomorrow instead of moving you to the back of the line.

After reading your post I decided check the order status on my 2.3/16/256 since I ordered on the 14th as well and lo and behold mine has changed to preparing for shipment as well
I'm in New Orleans...a flight leaves Memphis at 3:26am for an hour flight to N.O. My mac needs to make that flight or it's monday for me !

Yeah, /dev/toaster received his earlier today.
I am also waiting, no news. I ordered just when the online store reopened. No news. This waiting is driving me crazy!
Never saw so bad carrier service...TNT is the worst I haver had!!

I don't know if it's TNT or Australian customs. I had a parcel leave the US on morning of the 25th and it was only scanned through to be cleared by Melbourne customs this afternoon! I have another one coming from Japan and it's been missing for 2 days now.
Not saying that TNT isn't ****, because they definitely are, but everything is delayed internationally at the moment.
My MBP says it's in shipment from Pudong this morning, I hope they let it through quick

Been stuck in preparing to ship for over 18 hours now...
On a side note, called Apple to see if I could get shipping charges waived. They did, and they also gave me a free magic mouse as compensation for the wait.
Edit: Just shipped! 6/29 at 1am PST. Est. delivery July 3rd.

Its good to see 14 June orders are preparing to ship. I'm 15 June early morning, so mine could go to preparing to ship within this weekend.

what did you say to get a free mouse? I have tried getting some kind of compensation numerous times, and all I got was faster shipping..

Ordered 2.6/8/512 on the 11th around 8:30 est time (2-3 weeks predicted, June 29th-July6th Apple estimated delivery) but still showing "preparing for shipment" since Monday. I'm starting to lose hope that I'll see my first ever laptop before I head off for a two week vacation on the 3rd. Congrats to those who have it shipped/received already!!! Ha I've tried being patient, but after countless visits to the Apple store and getting used to the os, I really cannot wait!!!

keep trying part of it is getting the right person . also try moaning about how the computer is so expensive and how you absolutely need this mouse try saying you usually use a usb mouse but since this computer has only 2 ports so you cant hog one with a mouse . let us know if it works, you can also try saying an imac which is cheaper comes withit so can they get it for you b/c you hate trackpads but dont want to pay b/c the computer is so expensive
