MacBook pro 2016 lid alignment

Yeah, I can't complain. There are 2 Apple stores within 6 miles of me and 3 within 13 miles. Throwing in Best Buy's, Micro Center and Mac Outlet, Denver Mac Repair and some others about 12 retailers and independents that sell or service Apple products, within about 20 miles.

Well that's "good" I guess, then it's not a issue.

But still I have the "pop sound" so I'm still thinking of replacing the MBP.

yes, the bottom is the one that sicks out for about 0.000001mm :)) its so tiny difference, its first time i look at it

It sounds that I have more then you but good to know anyway - I could have lived with the miss aligment but with the "pop sound" it's not OK.
So replacement and hoping for a new good unit if not then I'll repair it on a service center I can't take the replacement anymore it's not funny and I hate it.

I have never replaced apple devices before so let's hope this is the last time
I'll do it.
 
I walk by the Apple store on the way to Starbucks on my coffee break. According to my fitbit it is 1435/2 steps from my desk.

I did replace it, today. I have not unboxed the new one yet. I'll do that tomorrow it's night here now.
 
I am usually very OCD about alignments but I just cant see anything in your picture. I have a 2015 15" and it's perfectly aligned. You could easily open the bottom and re-align it yourself too.

It was not just the alignment it did "pop" from time to time also.
 
i just checked also on my 12" MB and also have a little 0.00..1mm :) so its as intended

I would not say that :)

One of the pro's for CNC'g out of slabs of Ali is ability to tightly control production tolerances where other more exotic construction may require a two step process to get same tolerance from lighter or more complex shapes for example.
 
when 3 designs has the same thing...we will call as intended since nobody cried about it,its a decade, i dont tried on plastic or white macbooks...
