I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro 2016 with the 2.7GHz, and 460 graphics. I love the computer, but the main problem I have with it is it does not wake properly from sleep. If I use it within a few hours, it wakes up just fine, however, if I leave it with the lid closed for more than 4 hours then when I open the lid back up, it either completely reboots or I get the graphics glitch. Should I return, or is this more software related? I turned off FileVault, reset SMC, and NVRAM. Are there any other troubleshooting steps I should take?

Update, Apple wanted me to swap out the unit. I was reluctant but with all the problems these models are having I'd rather have a brand new machine. I shipped it today and they 'hope' to have a new computer to me before the end of the month. It is getting ridiculous to spend this much money and have to wait this long. At this point to combat all the negative press they should discount AppleCare on these models 10% as a so of faith.

I had the exact problem. Even installed OSX from scratch and didn't install any other software, reset SMC, reset NVRAM. Problem continued.
I have returned the macbook and received a replacement. With the replacement I didn't have this problem one time.

So I strongly advice to return the unit since it is not a software problem.

This is great to hear! I was skeptical since the computer boots so fast, but I am finishing up a PhD dissertation and often leave a ton of documents and spreadsheets open. I could not deal with the reboots. Hopefully they can hurry up the new computer and get it back to me.

Mine also has such problem. I planned to replace it in store.
Did you ever connect an external monitor or anything like that? The random wake issue would almost always occur if I put the computer to sleep with an external monitor attached and then closed the lid. However, without an external monitor attached it was totally random.

I'm also having this problem, but it only happens when I have external devices plugged into it. When nothing is plugged in, it has no issues with sleep/wake.
