Oops- I missed this. Not sure if I'll renew or not. I didn't see the option to renew and am looking for it now. But - I did pay for it with my Costco card - just have to remember - or look - when it switched from American Express.

Yup - can't get it for my Mac. Think it may be a phone or other device option.
You're talking like all this **** happening to MacBook pros is normal. but it wasn't normal when steve jobs was still alive. Apple has become a greedy money-making machine just happy to charge thousands of dollars for their lame phones. i already switched from iPhone to Android and if this trend continues I'm afraid this MacBook pro will be my last Apple laptop before going back to the dark side (although these days Apple seems to be darker than the dark side)

The battery issue? Damn straight it's normal. I've been in PC/Laptop/Phone support for in the business enterprise space with over 20K devices and battery swelling issues have existed since we started using them. I've used portable computing devices since the 70's and laptops as an option for me since the 90's. My 2008 MBP has been through 3 batteries now. But know what? IT STILL WORKS. Never had even a business class Windows laptop last that long.

If it's any consolation for you, I'm really getting pissed about this large trackpad on my 2017 MBP. Find myself typing where I don't want to type, key combinations I don't intend copying/pasting/etc. That's not normal. Palm rejection not working so well here. Wonder if Big Sur helps with that?

Completely agree, but you are talking about old SJobs machines. I also have a MacBook which is 11 years old and still working a charm and has never had issues with battery swellings or similar. I have replaced the battery once in 11 years and it is like new. And its unibody is sturdy like an armored safe. Sure, it has become slow after updating the OS, but anyway, my point is: these shiny new aluminum cases are more prone to deformations than the previous generations. And Apple design and innovation are failing. Apple executives are ruining Job's legacy. And they will be ****ed in hell for this.
