Macbook Pro Backlight but no image

Basically when I turn my mac on the apple logo in the back lights up and there’s backlight but no chime or image. The brightness and light up keyboard keys don’t do anything. When I close the lid without turning it off the apple logo stays light up. There is a small chance that it could have been dropped because I had it in my backpack but it’s very unlikely. I’ve this computer since mid 2014 (Macbook Pro Retina 13”)

Have you connected the Macbook to an external monitor? Have you checked for loose internal connections or reseated the LVDS cable? Tried a NVRAM and SMC reset?
