I heard keeping your battery charged when it don't need charging is draining the life out of the battery.

Seriously? This is three posts up:

Lithium polymer batteries have a built in chip that prevents damage from overcharging amongst other things. This whole "be unplugged as much as you can to avoid damage to the battery" myth needs to die.

Reading comprehension ftw.

Reading comprehension ftw.

People on this forum come here expecting to be spoon fed information which is readily available through a google search, you can't expect them to actually read posts, right?

thanks for the info about the battery guys. hopefully i can make it last a little longer now xD

especially since with Lion my battery life is currently still sucky...

Your battery doesn't die when it reaches 1000 cycles. Apple guarantees that your battery will keep up to 80% of it's capacity for up to 1000 cycles. It could be more than that. Even if it's 70% or 50%, the battery is still usable. Also, your battery health (capacity) will fluctuate up and down over time. That's normal. Just run on battery when you need to and plug it in whenever you can. Be sure you don't run on AC power all the time, as that can shorten your battery life. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:
