Engadget publishes what appears to be a MacBook Pro casing carved out of a single piece of aluminum which is consistent with rumors that the new Apple laptops would use a new manufacturing process.

Update: The image was also posted to our forums and originated at a Chinese forum.

It looks like aluminum on top, but the white plastic on bottom where the ports are.

That picture is....wait for it......SOLID!

Actually, if it was one piece, it would be awesome. I have actually broken the little tabs underneath the keyboard where the side phillips screws go into, hence my keyboard lifts up on one side of my MBP. This should fix that from happening. :)

during the past 30min Toshiba and Lenovo have posted WiMax laptops....

and we are waiting the revolutionary apple for a Macbook Pro...that should ALLREADY have this....

I think is the real thing...

bring it....

COME ON

is it just me or does tah look more like plastic??

it shows a headphone, a microphone, a ???, 2 usb plugs, and a firewire.....

whats the ???

Ports on the left? Hrm.

No underside? So moving the chassis weakness to the bottom of the case? Hrm.

MiniDVI? Don't make me laugh.

I guess the battery will be at the back and the whole inside will be slipped inside via the hole that it will leave when its put out.

well, looks very similar a standard MBP design to me. So we won't get a major redesign in terms of size and looks. only underneath the way they make it will be different but i don't care too much about that. no info about trackpad, screen becel and such of course.
