talk about anger management!

Gee Whiz! I would think that only something like cheating on her or something of that nature would justify something like this!

tell them you dropped it.

seriously, that's so bad man, i've always been afraid my mom would lose it like that, damn.

That doesn't look like they dropped it. It looks like someone stabed the trackpad and pulled some keys off.

Maybe you should push it off the desk and say you were testing the MagSafe adapter and that it was defective. :p

This is an interesting story. First, your so-called client wanting you to mark up the invoice 100% is BS. It's just stupid and unethical and I thank God that I'm not in business with you because it sounds like you did it. The wife, while everyone would like to call her a bitch and such is probably suitable for this guy who is dishonest enough to ask for an invoice to be sent to him that has a 100% markup. He didn't ask for that just because he thought it was funny.

I think the story is BS, but that's just me.
First you said it was your customer that wanted a MBP. Now it's your wife's sister's husband. Then you posted two photos of some random setup and the first photo doesn't look like there is damage to the MBP.
But then again, that's just me.

Always a skeptic. Some battles aren't worth fighting jessica. What would be the point of making up this story? To get us all mad at a fictional client/wife/sister in law that none of us will probably ever meet? Even if it is made up, so is TV. And its entertaining.

Jesus, can you get back in your treestand. I bought two macbook pros. One for my partner, one for a customer. My partner wanted the invoices market up 100% on the second two so that he could show it to his wife and make her feel that much worse about what she did. This was only on the two that we got after she killed the first one. Not on the one for the "Customer". Basically on the second trip, one was for me and one was his replacement. The invoice was to make her feel more badly about what she had done.

So you could not be more 100% wrong than you are. Chill out, re read the story. And don't start slamming me when you don't know me.

Oh, and for the record. It was my wifes sister that did this. My wife was even shocked that she did it. Jess, would you like better pictures, or my wifes phone number so she can verify the story to you?

Basically that is what she did. I opened it up to the logicboard today and the keys where shattered btw. Once opened, you could see the individual spike marks on the logic board where she had hit it. My wife and I counted 9 different strikes on the machine. Unreal.

And for the record, the lady is my sister in law. I don't think she is a Bitch, I love her, I think she just went a little off for a minute. She regrets it, I know she does. We are putting it in a case to put by our front door so she will always see it when she comes to the office :)

It's too bad the logic board was damaged or I'd ask you if you'd sell it. :)

Well, the wierd thing is that when powered, the light would come on, but nothing to the display. One of the little transister things was broken, and I think that killed it. I wish it would be ok, but I don't think it is, and I would not want to sell it and then it not work.

Ouch. Out of interest, how much would you sell it for, complete, in its current state? There seems like there may be a sign of life in the Logic board, and the rest.. well.. I dunno how much it would be to replace. Just interested.

Well, I know it needs at least,
An LCD
Keyboard
Trackpad

Possibly logic board, but don't know.
I could not sell it and feel good about it, only the parts that I know work which are the Hard Drive and the SuperDrive.

Ah, he was the guy who helped you in your time of need. How nice. But sister in law or not, tell him to divorce her, or the next time this happens, those dents could end up on his body.

Yeah, that would do it for some people.

Well, he has been here for ages and knows the admin and such, and lots of people probably trust him more than they trust you. And he even shows us photos before you made your post, which just makes your post seem even less relevent....

Hey, thanks for having my back there buddy. I can post better pictures if anyone wants them.

I'm actually more interested in the domestic side of the story than the unfortunate MBP's role in it. It's so....tabloid. That was an expensive fight those two had!

Your doubt is misplaced young one.

And so are your reading glasses.

Eek!

What a story. And Jessica, really, make sure you read stuff before you make judgments.

People do get mad at objects. Right after we got the iMac G4 (three years right about now), my dad and I got into an argument, and my dad made a move for the precious G4. He grabbed the neck of the computer and started pulling it, but I lunged towards it before any damage could be done, thank god. If he had ruined the brand new, $2,100 machine, I think I would have cried for many, many days. :(

i call bs. are you lacero? i don't believe you exist. prove it!!!!

Sucks about the MBP for sure. Kinda scary to be living with someone who could stab anything 9 times in a fit of temporary rage.

More importantly, though, how is that new business coming, BTTM?

Business is going good. Too good actually, I don't have any free time. As for the Macbook. It is turning on, and the processor is building heat. It may be that she just killed the video on the logic board. The fans work, the hard drive spins. It is weird really.
