MacBook Pro Colored Keyboard

What I did with mine was stick that colored semi-transparent gift wrapping paper and stick it with contact paper inside the key cap. I took them off one by one, but actually prefer doing that and buying a key cap or hinge if ruined than replace a whole keyboard and opening up the mac.

I just wanted to change the letter color. I like the white underneath the keys. So here's how it turned out!

I can post pics on how to do this if asked :)

Please do. I'd rather not tear down my laptop to change the keyboard, but your solution looks nice. I'd like blue keys.

I agree. so much easier this way and you can customize individual keys. this is exactly what i wanted to do... and! if you get tired of it, seems a whole lot easier than taking your entire macbook apart

Iridescent

heres an idea. i know how its done and everything and its not the easiest task but i dont know if id want that to be permanent rainbow or any specific color. so i looked on amazon and this is what i found:

Iridescent

it looks clear but iridescent is like a clear rainbow effect. like a soap bubble. i wonder if this would shine through on the keyboard? i could deal with that, but the full color and not being able to change it to a white light would bother me. im going to but some and try it, and i'll post a pic when i get done.

No, it will look just dimmer. The iridescent effect is from the distortion of light though the film, but you need to see the light source directly to see the effect.
