Two things I am actually not liking or at least not yet getting used to it.
    Just received my 15" MBP:
    - very heavy power supply
    - hearing strange noise out of both speaker during "encrypting" the disc. Looks like you will hear when your laptop is at least heavily working on the SSD

Anyone with the same issues - at least with the second one?

got it . didnt do much yet i am at work but i think

-keyboard is good (i have magic keyboards 2, old macbook pro)
    -silent click must come back
    - touch bar is awesome. love how it works and looks
-space gray and design and build quality is fantastic. it is amazing.
-screen is much better than old macbook pro.
-i would die for this trackpad :D
    -touch id is super responsive
    -speakers are good

This is a hell of a machine. leave me alone with it :D

Looks awesome in Silver and I really don't like the colored aluminium-surfaces, because I tend to gather some scratches over the time that would have a higher contrast.

Posted the same on the EU shipping thread

    First impressions:

    • The keyboard needs some getting used to, not really a fan of the sounds but other than that to me it's an improvement.
    • The display is gorgeous
    • Space grey is definitely the best choice!
    • The trackpad is even larger in person
    • The touch bar feels really smooth
    • I love touch-id
    • It's so light

side note: every picture I try to upload to MR I get the error that it's too large for the server. Any way around this.

silent click is there, i dont know why people were saying it is not. Defintely some stuff is wrong with speaker drivers. making silly sounds when i run bash script or downloading stuff.

    I can't upload pictures either.

    My first impressions:

    • I LOVE the keyboard, I loved it on the MacBook and it's improved on the MBP no end.
    • Display is great although I'm used to a 5k iMac so it's very similar
    • Glad I went for 13 like my old MBP and appreciate the large touch pad, but if I could take anything from the 15, it would be the even LARGER touch pad!
    • agree that Touch ID is by far the best thing about the Touch Bar so far.
    • Did I say I love the Keyboard?!
    • Im not going to lie, I'm not a bit emoji user but having the direct access to them when you do want one is actually quite useful
    • Love the colour, space grey.
    • Still not sure about battery life, that is to be seen. \
    • Its light, but not as light as I'd like or expect it. that's a small complaint and it's more than light enough, I just perhaps expected a little less to it.
    • Speakers are definitely lacking bass, they sound good but I'd say they have even less bass than my old MacBook Pro. Fidelity of sound is there, just bass is not so much.
    • I think the Escape button could have been moved to the far left rather than leaving a gap. I know the gap works to activate the button but I think it didn't need it to match the Touch ID button, I reckon it would have looked fine without a gap.

That's it for the first 30 mins of playing. Did I mention I love the keyboard?

    Impressions:

Speakers - don't believe all that stuff about cosmetic speakers grilles:
    1. It sounds better than the rMB speakers (and that had the best speakers of any MacBook)
    2. If you cover the bottom of the grilles the sound is clearly muffled so sound is coming out of them
    3. The bass comes from the air vent region
    Also:

The first thing everyone should do (in my humble opinion) is replace the useless Siri with Spotlight on the Touch Bar! ;)

Mine came with System Integrity Protection disabled so Apple still hasn't fixed that.

Touch Bar is looking better from a normal typing distance. Just don't do what I did and start inspecting it up close!

Does anyone know how to display the rainbow colour picker on the Touch Bar as shown on the box?

I just removed Siri and customised the bar completely, I do like the options you get. I often wished there was a show desktop button and now there is!

Agree that treble comes from the bottom of the grill as bass out the side but I'm surprised you think it's better than the old model, maybe I need to experiment more.

Guys, please share your opinion and reviews!
It will be very helpful for all of us who hasn't received our macbooks yet.
I really hope that I will not find a reason to cancel my order.

Very quick first impressions on my 15". Not used a MBP for a long time as been mostly on my Air and iMac. The space grey is gorgeous and amazing screen. I love the keyboard too but it is loud - but typing much better than the MacBooks that I've tried. Copying some files off a USB 3 portable HD that's never been that speedy - it is now! Zero buyer's remorse so far. Can't wait to get stuck into my CC apps.

FYI Keynote is one app that supports the Touch Bar colour picker. Isn't the colour stunning?
