What makes you think people with BTO (like myself) will struggle to get it before start of next year? Since order 2days after mines been expected 6-12th and had no change as yet. And people are already getting theirs so I've hope

I mean if you order it now (or you are in the 4-5 week delivery timeframe as of this week). I think people are on the 4-5 week timeframe for quite some days (weeks?) already.

Of course I have no idea how many ordered within the first 7 days of release, but I am starting to think if you ordered a BTO after the first week of November, you may not see it until the very end of the year. Speculation, but Christmas time freight probably means a lot more shipments going around the world (of course, Apple will probably be also trying their best to meet the Christmas demand).

(This is going by the Apple Stores here in Germany getting BTO stock on the 30th Dec / 3rd Jan according to the Apple Store app)

exactly. Pure Apple BS. They found a way to deliver their products to Europe in a cheapest possible way i guess. When they update the order status to "Shipped" , what they actually meant was "It is ready but we will keep it in here for 3 days so we can save 2-3$ per item."

Apple has been a disappointment, they can't just ignore their second biggest market like this.........I just checked flightradar24 and there are no UPS flights that left shanghai airport, so still not sure if departure scan means that my macbook has left china

Flight 5X21 left a little after that departure scan. My departure scan has the exact same time stamp as yours which makes me to believe it was a batch scan and not an individual one. That flight is heading for Dubai btw.

:(. Hopefully my order status will change from "Shipment dispatched" to the "In transit...." status today..
It should. I've got to try and get the tracking code for my shipment today. Hopefully it's already on the way.

Has anyone had any dhl tracking change yet?

In the past I have received one iPad from U.K. (using forwarding service), sent at 1600pm on Thursday and received in Italy at 1200 on Friday... so still possibile delivery tomorrow (if DHL get it in the afternoon/evening)..

PS: using DHL express ...
