I'm from Croatia, we don't have Apple store here :(
But I'm traveling to London in 9 days. Can anyone from London/UK confirm that they have new MBP in Apple Stores?

I want to drop by, pick up best 15" that they have, pay it right there and walk out.
So please, if anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks guys :)
The stores will certainly have received stock by then. However they will probably be sold out after the day they receive the stock. Your options are:
  1. Be satisfied with a stock model. In which case, soon after the store received stock they will enable in store pickup. You can pay up front online and have it reserved for you in store.
  2. If you want a BTO model, these do not appear online. But Regent Street will without a doubt be stocking the maxed out 15" model. You will just have to chance it and hope they have one when you go in.

alright so if my mac is on 7CP2811, why is my status still "Shipment dispatched"?
I think others are saying in transit because theirs like the one I just mentioned have already landed. So hopefully it will change soon after your flight has landed

Checked a few BTO options, does pickup date also mean availability date in general? I know they run on two different inventories but I'm curious. Stock models are not listed but BTO's look like they can be picked up here in Berlin in 2017 :D

I'm in London, UK and want to order the 15". It currently shows 4-5 weeks dispatch time, do we expect them to be in store before then? i.e. would it be quicker to wait a few weeks and go buy instore than order online now?

You're better off ordering online now. And if they make it to stores sooner then picking one up and canceling the online order. Otherwise you might be looking at a long wait.

Why would you keep bothering CS? They know nothing and can't help you, your MacBook Pro is still not too late and the delivery date-range is an estimate. Just relax and have patience, there are way worse thing is life than waiting for a new computer. :)
Jesus Christ, I just want to know if it's out of Shanghai or not. LIKE EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS FORUM. Lay off, dude.

So BTO stock is looking likely to arrive end of December/beginning of Jan in Germany at least. I imagine stock models are going to be on a very limited supply until the end of the year. Unlike an iPhone launch which specifically talks about "preorders", this release was not a preorder - it was simply an order.

If you manage to get a touch bar MBP in 2016 in EU, consider yourself quite lucky, especially if it's a BTO!

If you're in London, Regent Street and Covent Garden will almost certainly receive stock on the same day UK people receive their first orders. That's currently scheduled to be Thursday but could and should be earlier.

Everybody said the same to me when I was waiting for my 7 Plus. It's not 'just a phone' or 'just a laptop'. That's what you say to Android stuff and Windows. This is Apple. You pay for the experience, so you should share it as much you can. That's my opinion. :))

I'm mostly mad because I am seriously afraid my current computer will die on me, like, now. My screen is flickering on and off, my RAM gets magically stuffed up, everything freezes, and the battery lasts for two hours. I have four hour long classes and no access to an outlet. So... Yeah. I need that computer. The experience, of course, is welcome, but at this point, it's a necessity.

Oh. Now I actually hope your MacBook comes earlier than mine. I mean, I have a Retina MacBook Pro 2013 and it works like a charm. I just wanted the new design, the better processor, the bigger SSD space and of course the TouchBar in sexy space grey :)

But you'll need it! So I can totally understand were you're coming from. Good luck, sister!

I just get OCD about this sort of thing.

It's because theres *some* tracking information. Thats what feeds the addictiveness in HAVING to know.

If they said nothing and I was oblivious to where in the world my computer is, I'd not be in the slightest bothered and would go about living my life like normal people, until I received notification of a delivery date.

But give me a tracking number and tell me it's in Shanghai and could be on a plane at any moment and I'm sitting here refreshing the DHL tracker, gazing at little planes on Flightradar and refreshing this forum thread like some crack-addled maniac.

Damn you technology

What makes you think people with BTO (like myself) will struggle to get it before start of next year? Since order 2days after mines been expected 6-12th and had no change as yet. And people are already getting theirs so I've hope

I don't really get why Apple's order status page says Dispatched on 17 November 2016 and then immediately underneath it says Status Shipment Dispatched 19 November 2016. I mean, they can't both be true.

I believe that the second date is the date of the last update.

The Nov 19th is date of last update of the status, i.e. today.
