I'm not trying to drag down the mood - I am massively impressed with it thus far - but is anyone else surprised/disappointed at how blurry the Touch Bar is? It's certainly not 'Retina'.

Safari Tab icons are certainly blurry, the buttons though aren't too bad unless you get really close to them, but yeah, doesn't seem great compared to a retina screen. The price for early adopters, I'm sure next generation will be better

Sounds like classic Apple. How else would they get people to needlessly upgrade again in a couple of years when they add the oh so magical Retina TouchBar 2 :)

The torture continues. Been out for delivery for 5 and a half hours. Just had a knock on the door. Electric Meter reading person. :(

When I had Playstation VR delivered on launch day the guy arrived at 5pm. Day off work booked off for it and my mate who didn't pre-ordered picked his up at 9am that day.

Anyone know how to make the Touch Bar display the rainbow colour picker strip that is shown on the box? :p

(I've tried changing text colour in stock apps but it isn't showing the rainbow strip.)

what i noticed is, that the "blurryness" is something that is strong if u look on it closely, BUT: they said its optimized for 45° view-angle, and my impression is, that you do not see that blurryness from that angle.

I think it might also be that it's driving by the T1 Chip. They may have certain issues with going up in resolution

Update on the speakers - don't believe all that stuff about cosmetic speakers grilles:
  1. It sounds better than the rMB speakers (and that had the best speakers of any MacBook)
  2. If you cover the bottom of the grilles the sound is clearly muffled so sound is coming out of them
  3. The bass comes from the air vent region
Also:

The first thing everyone should do (in my humble opinion) is replace the useless Siri with Spotlight on the Touch Bar! ;)

Mine came with System Integrity Protection disabled so Apple still hasn't fixed that.

Touch Bar is looking better from a normal typing distance. Just don't do what I did and start inspecting it up close!

Just got an update. Should be delivered tomorrow to Sweden.

Yeah that's the only "negative" thing I could make out so far. Thing is if you are actually using the laptop it is more than sufficient :) Meaning not holding your head directly over it but instead using a laptop like you normally do.

However I think one of my keys is not working properly, I actually forgot the name. The one over FN, because it seems really inconsistent. Does it work a bit different than on windows machines? Sometimes I can't seem to write large letters...
