I just tried it myself and most US stores were green. Europe - all red...Not sure this is correct since it shows that the US have no stock whatsoever in any store which we know it's not true
Really?! Mine still shows 17-24.Original shipping was 17th - 24th, and it's now changed to 23rd-25th...I've never had a delay like this with Apple...oh well

Min still shows 17-24 but concerned it's going to move backwardsYep same. 17-24 but stuck on processing still.
I'm staying very zen about it all! Or at least trying![]()

I was able to get an impression of the MacBook Pro without TouchBar in a Cyberport Store here in Berlin. These things are just great - and not comparable with a standard MacBook. Way better keyboard, e.g.The longer this goes on the more I'm thinking about the ridiculous price tag and thinking of cancelling and making do with a macbook
That is certainly true. I've used the non Touchbar version in the Apple Store and it really is nice and I love the keyboard.I was able to get an impression of the MacBook Pro without TouchBar in a Cyberport Store here in Berlin. There is literally no reason why they couldn't have done in the weeks and months leading up to this launch. Apple isn't some kind of independent technology startup business. They knew about the demand. They just chose to prioritize the American market, there really is no denying that. And I totally get why, it's their homeland. But it still sucks for the rest of us and we have the right to complain about it.
How many times do we have to say this. It's not feeling bad because we've been out to the back for whatever reason, its that they set the same expectations across the world which is clearly not the case and is ridiculous.
Absolutely agree that expectations and reality are very different. But as you put it, good business 101 is communication when reality doesn't meet expectations. That's the problem here.If they chose to prioritise demand then our estimates probably would've been later from the get-go. I have no insider knowledge but I just would not assume it's a decision, just we've slipped to the end of the window. They're different SKUs and different shipping routes, likely different manufacturing paths too.
Expectations and reality are often different. Why would apple give the same estimates if they intended to prioritise US shipments? Setting realistic expectations is good business 101.
The hysteria here is insane.

Do you think Apple expect us to not realise that the US have got theirs up to a week earlier than their windows, or that they can now walk into a store and get one, or that there's a good chance that people int he UK will be able to do that too before we all get our pre orders, or that the very concept of first come first served has fallen apart? Not when delivering within the stated window is entirely likely.
