Long time follower of this thread. I am another in the 17-24 group (ordered just after keynote) at PFD, to be shipped to London.

If I get time today, I will wander down to the Regent Street store and see what those guys say about getting stock in. A couple of weeks ago they said they had the only 2 TB MacBook Pros in Europe! So wouldn't be surprised if they got stock before other stores.

So I just called in with the Zurich Store and they are saying they have no Macbook Pros with Touchbar available and will not for at least another week, so no luck on that front. Maybe the US is really prioritised higher in every sense, even the stores?

It certainly seems that way. Feels like this whole launch is one gigantic middle finger towards the EU.

I can't yet complain as I have 8-14 Dec slot, but seeing some of you face delays is disheartening. I cannot understand why Apple fell asleep on Europe given the prices rises and the resultant risk of a shrinking market...

Don't get me wrong, I want my macbook pro too, but i'm fairly sure this delay is due to the supply chains being different for the EU models, not some slight against europeans. If it's within the date range they'll have fulfilled their promises. Deal with it.

Couldn't agree more!!!
Dont know if it has to do with Angela Ahrends, but since she's with Apple, pre orders really suck.
Apple doesnt care one bit for people pre ordering nowadays.

Tim is going for 1 thing and thing only: emptying your wallet as fast as possible with everything he's got (dongles ;)).
Everything else comes in 2nd or 3rd place.

I genuinely would not care or have an issue with the present situation as we actually have a delivery window between x and y, what offends me is that Europe got no preorder units while retail stores in other countries have units .....coumpunded by the fact apple has held my ******* £3k for a week now ...disgusting ! Amazon takes my money on the day and delivers that evening.

Tim Cook is 100% Steve ballemer , record sales and....heck look to what happened to Microsoft during his reign .

I retuned my iPhone 7 cause after handing over £1100 it had worse reception cause apple now charges more and penny pinches in every single component, it's now the all mighty $$$$ and customer distant second.

Not sure what Angela really does but supply is Tims baby....guess we can blame her for the store experience where retail staff push customers to online which is awful these days . I got my iPhone 7 within a week retail while the online was almost a 2 month wait....actually of all the online retailers I checked , apple had the worst delivery time. And retail staff tell you to order online ...

There is literally no reason why they couldn't have done in the weeks and months leading up to this launch. Apple isn't some kind of independent technology startup business. They knew about the demand. They just chose to prioritize the American market, there really is no denying that. And I totally get why, it's their homeland. But it still sucks for the rest of us and we have the right to complain about it.

And the supply chains are different how ? Happy to hear excuses if justified .

Going to look very silly if the retail stores have stock today....

Again I don't even care if they prioritise the American market. It wouldn't be the first time.

My gripe is they didn't tell anyone about it and gave us all the same delivery window.

I'm with the guys if Apple have not missed the window then nothing to worry about.
I'd be more interested to be hearing about what adapters & accessories people have bought or planning to buy here in the EU, i already have a draw filled.
Agree - as long as the "window hasn't been missed" it's ok. But I also agree that it's strange that the US Apple Stores have them in stock way before preorders have been taken care of - no matter where you live.

Apart from that, I went for the Satechi Slim Aluminum 4K which has USB-A ports, HDMI and Ethernet. I also got a dual USB-C / USB-A stick (Mach Xtreme Barium 64GB) so I can transfer data when the dongle isn't around.

What have you gotten so far? You only mention the drawer has been filled??

Anticipating the arrival of the 15" TBMBP (stock, Space grey, 512GB SSD, Radeon 455) which should arrive between 11/24 and 1/12.

How many times do we have to say this. It's not feeling bad because we've been out to the back for whatever reason, its that they set the same expectations across the world which is clearly not the case and is ridiculous.
