Yeah, we all know that feeling on these. I had ~£3k set-aside for the maxed-out version, then realised it took £4049 to get it — AND no free-credit finance offers whatsoever (only 15% APR, FFS! ...in an age of 0.25% Bank Of England base rate!).

Not happy, but screw it, machine will at least last a few years, and I can add the £320 AppleCare on later this year...

But hey, we did all get £10 off some (already overpriced) adaptors from Apple, so back in Cupertino multi-mega-staff-pay towers, they must think that level of pricing is perfectly easy for everyone to find out of their back pocket. /moan groan.
Don't get me wrong I priced the competition but I can't get my head around continuing with windows. I was a MacBook Pro owner from 2009-2012 and an accident with water fried the motherboard. I had no need for a genuine replacement so just used my iPad but I started college again as a mature student and needed a laptop. Was using a friends dell while waiting for the release of these machines but it's looking like semester two before I'll get to use it. And just in case your wondering I've no need for a machine this dear or the spec I went for but I just love them. Sorry for the essay haha.

That is the case for me. Apple still says PFS, but I have a tracking number from DHL.

I also managed "to get into DHL"!!!

I googled "DHL Express Sendungsverfolgung" and I came to a page where I could search for "international" packet tracing. So it is NOT the normal tracing, because that one still doesn't show anything. This is what it shows:

For me "Herkunftsgebiet" means "place of departure", so I am pretty sure it arrives tomorrow. I double dare you to say this is false!!

Just to get it right: You do need a tracking number to do it like you're saying here, right? Or is there some other way by address or else? At least one of you guys got a number from DHL and is still P4S, right? How did you get this number then? ...I'm from Germany and should know how DHL works...but it seems...I don't :)

Same boat as you, it's likely they didn't send to anyone in Italy...

I am located in The Netherlands, still P4S .. while other people in The Netherlands already received a shipping notification a few hours ago. So I think location doesn't matter that much ... I probably won't see any movement today, so all i can do is hope for an update tomorrow...

Lots of people in the UK have had shipment, but I haven't so I expect it tomorrow now too.

Probably that if the Macs are coming from china anyway, then a day later on changing the shipped shouldn't make too much difference.

That's the case for me. DHL sent me a text message with the tracking number and asking how I want it delivered (home delivery or pickup). Apple status is still PFS and I have no estimated delivery date.

Why did they send you a text message? Have you signed up for some kind of DHL service?

I assume they sent me a message getting the info from Apple, since I gave my number when ordering. I have not registered for any kind of DHL service.

UPS here.

So which one can go faster? UPS, DHL or TNT?

Those that are shipping from the Netherlands should come way faster than our case that comes from China

Historically I've had all TNT shipments delivered directly from Shanghai and they took 6 days to Switzerland. Let's see how it goes this time.

UK, dispatched, estimated delivery date 25th, so one day later than Apple's 17-24 original timeframe.

Anybody have an indication as to how long it might take to get a tracking number if my order, which shipped today, has to meet up with some dongle buddies at a different location?

"Please Note: Your items dispatched from different locations and will be merged together before delivery. Once merged, your Order Status will be updated with carrier and tracking information (at least 48 business hours before your estimated delivery date)."
