The thing is, my current MBP which I bought in 2012 is on the verge of committing suicide, so I need this new toy asap for uni and work... I fully understand because I also have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro which is preparing itself to turn into a galaxy note 7.. I am sure it's trying to self destruct.. make sure you have your backups done!
I really hope it will be shipped soon for you. My current MBP is also from 2012. It still works, but Apple Care is nearly due so I need a new one. And I loved the new MacBook as soon as it was introduced. 7 more days, then it's here. (I am wondering why the heck it takes 7 days to ship something from Eindhoven to Groningen.)
