MacBook Pro Launch February 12th?

MacBook Pro 4. due on 12th ?... oh yeah

Seems the long wait is over ! Mac OSX 10.5.2 update has been released ! which makes it all clear 4 the much awaited MBP. Finally time has come to lighten our wallets and go 4 new MacBook Pro , which will almost certainly feature Multitouch Trackpad, Intel Penryn 45nm Processors (T9100,T9300 hopefully) , we dont want 3MB L2 cache do we . Yeah some sources suggest that it might have Video GFX upgrade ( maybe nVidia 8700 MGT), hard disk option of SSD is also on the cards though chances are mearge. Shell design change is unlikely and LED display on the 17" is a possibilities.

So all this freaky rumours make us cross our fingers and hope that some angel provokes steve jobs to release the MBP .. kudos MacBookAir ! Its PRO time !!

So you're saying on the two high end MBP will be updated and not the lower end one?

I don't really think Apple would choose Extreme though...
 
yeah I agree I think many people were disappointed when the mbp's weren't released last Tuesday, especially when the store went down.

I have to go to a training class tomorrow morning without internet access. So when I check the Internet at lunch time maybe Apple will suprise me. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

That's a good point. They may be out tomorrow, but will they be available tomorrow?
 
if they come out tomorrow, we will have to wait 2 weeks for them to ship in order for us to buy it.

I would say your WRONG on this and this is why , when the 16 gig iPhones came out they were at the AT&T and Apple store OVERNIGHT, if all of my reading misleads me , as far as having them in the store than fine I am incorrect, but over all I would think that they would be in the stores ASAP meaning overnight. OR by COB on Friday
 
I have used the MB
I own a MBP
I own a new alum. wireless Keyboard

The only thing I dont have experience with is the MBA, which as I said, i was under the impression had the same keyboard as the MB.

For brief, and entertainment use, I dont mind the MB and alum. keyboard. But it has a clacky, arcadey feel. The MBP has a smooth, and slick keyboard. Its just better in every way.

True. I think it kind of has to do with the availability of the product. If they sent out stock to all the stores, then they will be out tomorrow. If not (like the air) then they will be available in a few weeks.

I'm buying it whatever keyboard it has on it. Not really a dealbreakter for me. I do wish they don't put a black keyboard on it though.

You know why the current MBs and MBA have the current keyboard they do? Because they are cheaper. Not backlit, they dont have a smooth type feel, they have a more clunky feel. The MBP has a more professional keyboard, smooth, less clacky, feels better under your fingers. Now I also have a new apple wireless keyboard, and I dont mind it, but for prolonged use, I would not use it...mostly entertainment.
New keyboard that matches MB will decrease the sexy factor by 20% imo.

The MB keyboard is the best keyboard I've ever typed on. The keys are nicely separated and makes it easier and quicker to type on.

Ok, I believe that the one thing that we all agree on is--nobody can be for certain of when. So, help a "convert" out and tell how and where to buy it.

and guys, i forgot to mention, yesterday when i was in the apple store looking at the air - i was talking to one of the reps, and i said "wellllll im waiting for the macbook pro even though this is kinda cool ;)"

then he gave me a funny nervous look, and looked away..none the less it was prominent enough that it raised suspicions

in a no homo way, i should put that in there
 
so what exact time

I'm new at this... so will the store go down at midnight pacific time? 9am tomorrow?? Could be any time?? If this is going to happen, when do you think it will happen?

Also, if we don't see a new keyboard or some sort case redesign... when do you expect that?
