I'd have to agree here-the white keyboard with aluminum does look really great. I think it adds to the professional look personally-it would also add an ambiance of 'holiness' to the MBP: those glorious white keys gleaming in the dark...my fingers are crossed!

I still really prefer the current look of the MBP keyboard, but I'm buying a new one no matter what keyboard it has. (I'm using a Pismo right now!!!)
I do think the white MB style keyboard would look much better than the black though. Only one concern about itI have seen display models of those (the white ones) end up looking very dingy after a while. I know display mods take a lot of abuse, but does anyone know if they clean up well. Or, once they get dingy do they stay that way no matter what you try?

Last Tuesday the Apple Store went down around 3:30 AM Pacific Time and went back up before (or around) 6:00 AM Pacific.
I did some research on this, and the fact that initially the white MB's got dingy almost immediately. Apple fixed the problem and as far as I know, dinginess on all white Mac plastic cleans up pretty well, keys included. That said, anything that goes for too long without cleaning will stain eventually. I'm still hoping for the white keys!
no, it always comes out 1-2 weeks after the US release. I am from Canada and they told me that's how it works.

no no nothing like that, I have tons of friends that have it and love it. I just don't want to buy something when I could have gotten something even slightly more for my hard earned money only the following week. Thats really it, Im SURE the MBP current model and do everythig i need and more. But if that update is going to give me an extra 6 months usage down the road then of course I want to wait. I really think thats why all of us are waiting.
Thanks for the reply. But I had noticed that a lot of people on this forum list an MBP as one of their current possessions--I was wondering why these people are looking for a new one?

I think most everyone here would agree that even the current model of MacBook Pros are freaking awesome. Sometimes, even if your current model is great, the urge to get the latest, sexiest, and most powerful version is just too tempting to pass up.
!!!hmm - MacBook Pro(s) still 24 hours availability on the Singapore store for all models. That doesn't bode well.
What happens when they do updates like this by the way, to the old stock which is clearly still sitting around? I'm quite sure the old models just disappear off the online store that day.
The same reason we are all members of this forum really. QUite a few HARDCORE apple people here tht will always have the latest model.. Can't let that little **** down the block have the better model now, can we?

Apple is a California based company and it releases all the products based on PST (Pacific Standard Time) so its obvious singapore store is still not updated.
Either way when apple updates its US online store, only then changes will be reflected in other worldwide stores. So keep ur fingers crossed and wait 4 the MBP.
