macbook pro lifespan!

Depends on what you're going to be doing with your Mac. Aperture has shortened the lifespan of my machine. If I didn't need to use it I could easily get by with my already 3 year old MacBook.
 
After year 1 with my mbp, the only reason I want to upgrade to a new machine is because I want to not because I need to. The machine is as fast as day 1!
