Interesting!

I'm in your same predicament although I ordered my new MBP 15 the day before the rumors started (expecting to receive it tomorrow). The computer will still be more than sufficient for my purposes but if the anti-glare will get cheaper or if USB 3.0 or SSD are introduced soon, I obviously will be rather annoyed. :s

It's a tough one isn't it?! If there was no update rumoured then I would be perfectly happy with the currently available model, but I would feel a bit cheated if I bought today and then in two weeks an update arrived for the same money with better specs.

I really need (at least I'm inconvenienced without) a new laptop, since my last one broke a few weeks ago.

I also really need one. Uni started again two weeks ago and I feel crippled without my own Mac laptop. Sure, the college has a 24-hour Win 7 computer lab, but I can't work like that, mainly because a lot of my work is in files that require Mac-specific software (Scrivener, etc). I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Hmm...
My guess on why 15in couldnt be ordered was because the china's apple factory got shut down so we might of been less on stock.

But I guess because of an update then.

Last year's speed bump went largely unannounced, I'd be surprised if Apple made a fuss this year.

There was no "speed bump" last year.

Apple simply added a BTO option for a 2.8 GHz i7. There were no changes to the rest of the lineup.

Just an update on this thread:
Apple is now selling memory modules (as arn and I stated before) separate from BTO orders.
8GB RAM is $400.
Lol.
