MacBook Pro - now or wait?

If you need one now, buy one now. If you can wait, then wait.
Are you prepared to wait 6+ months (since apple tends to roll out MBP updates in 2nd qtr)? I understand your desire, but I'm just putting it out there it may be a long wait.
I just bought a 2019 MBP Pro fully specced out. Man this thing is a beast and I LOVE the keyboard. The tactile feedback is superb and the key travel is perfect (for me at least).
Got it with the i9-9980HK and Vega Pro 20 + 4TB SSD, I have 0 complaints. Superb screen, keyboard, performance, and they have improved the thermals in the current generation so it doesn't suffer from any overheating or throttling issues like the 2018s did.
I don't know what you are waiting for in the next gen but it could be a while. Life is too short to be waiting for the next best thing, there is always something better coming on the horizon so enjoy what's available right now.
Man, I am so much close to ordering one... it sucks they keep tantalizing us with the 16" mbp. I'd hate myself if i order it today and then they release a 16" in a few weeks or even few months.
I currently have the 2014 Mbp and it's pretty good for 50% of what I do. I just wish it was a little bit faster.
May be I will wait... I do need the keyboard to have good travel (the 2014 is awesome in that way).
Then don't, you already answered yourself. You do WANT the new 16 inch. Just hang in there and keep using whatever you have now.
