lol, i agree 100%
i have no idea who this o'grady person is and his predictions are probably as accurate as the next guys.
people just need to stop wasting their time and wait until they release them.
i know that this is macrumors.com but when 200 people expand with their own opinions and predictions, it gets a bit overkill imo.
All this speculation is retarded. There are ZERO authentic photos OR descriptions OR specs of the upcoming models, so there is NOTHING to discuss. End of story.
enough with the games apple, just bring on the new MBPs!!!!
i'm ready
We've neglected to post the image since we felt it was clearly fake.
"neglected" does not mean "decided not to do", it means "forgot to do".
... no, you don't have to thank me. ... O gee, you shouldn't! ... I really mean it! ... No, stop! ... Ouch, it hurts! ... NOOOOOOOO!
What games has Apple been playing? They haven't leaked multiple prototypes or rumors. They are doing what they always do: stick with their secretive plans. Apple isn't playing any games, we are.
These rumors are killing me!
I remember when the Macbook was first announced. I watched the keynote feed here, checked out the pictures and specs and went off to buy one a few days later.
Now it's always in repairs and it's seriously annoying... Is anyone in Germany interested in a black Macbook?
I think this would be nice and sole those top case problems (cracking and discoloration). And it would go well with the new silver iPod nanos:

Mockup
Note the plastic display cover doesn't dent or cover the wireless antennas. When closed it would be just a black macbook.
that is just funny!! One of the worst fakes ever, you can clearly see that trackpad is added with some software. Not to even mention that he is filming with iSight, but no green light is showing webcam being active ;D
Hmmm. I'm on the verge of buying a MacBook Pro to replace my increasingly decrepit PowerBook G4, but some of the details that have been emerging over the last few months are disturbing me a bit.
Black "flat top" keyboard? Ech. Split trackpad with two buttons? Hell no.
And as for some of the earlier rumours, no FireWire 400, full-size DVI or internal optical drive? Combine that with the current incarnations of MacBooks that don't have the numberpad under the 789/uio/jkl/m keys which is something that is likely to continue with this new model.
My old PowerBook running Tiger is starting to look more and more attractive compared to one of these 'new' MacBook Pros with Leopard under the hood.
I have to agree that going with two mouse buttons will be a mistake. Two finger right click is so much more efficient. I also hope they keep the option of a matte screen. Granted, in many cases, reflection off a glossy isn't that bad, but why concern yourself with the problem to begin with?
And I see no reason why the MBP needs to get any thinner. 1" is already very thin and I don't see you gaining anything by making it any thinner. If they can shrink things enough so that they can make the case thinner than 1", then they might as well keep the 1" thickness and use the extra space to improve the cooling system or put bigger drivers in for better speakers or something else useful.
Not , I'd buy it on looks .......depends what was inside though !THIS MOCKUP = HUGE FAIL

It seems that some of these new details are a step backwards, such as the smaller trackpad. I highly doubt Apple would shrink the trackpad especially since the MBA has a much larger one and it would be easier to use "Full" Multitouch on a larger trackpad.
Mac tablet where are you?Jason O'Grady
It doesn't correlate with AppleInsider's rumors either.O'Grady has heard that the new MacBook Pros will retain its more traditional boxy-look and not adopt the tapered edge design of the MacBook Air. We're not sure if that completely correlates with the previously leaked MacBook Pro image that does seem to depict a tapered edge.
Why am I not surprised?O'Grady also believes the new MacBook Pro will be thinner
Why would the trackpad be smaller, I wonder. Black keyboard I think is almost certain.Other details spotted in early prototypes: black "flat top" keyboard like the MacBook Air, slightly smaller trackpad than existing MacBook Pros, and even a split trackpad with two buttons.
Good to know.In addition, O'Grady claims the incorporation of "full Multi-Touch support" in the new trackpads.
Or maybe they won't be released for quite some time. So, Apple is still making prototypes of the MacBook Pro? Maybe they cannot choose which one to make final.![]()
It doesn't correlate with AppleInsider's rumors either.
It is human nature to complain.Whenever Apple releases a product, loads of people complain about it and say that it's a let down
It is fine and I would not mind it.What would people think about a polished metal look for the case?
I'm hoping for a radical redesign but I'm not expecting one in October.
What would people think about a polished metal look for the case?
Radical redesign Macworld next year...
Actually, no: the first definition of "neglect" given by Wiktionary is: "To disregard or pay little attention to something."
As to new MB/MBPs, I've given up speculating. We'll know what they are when Apple decides to release them.
