To make it short: I am very disappointed with the direction blizz is going. They become lazy, greedy and arrogant. They use cheap psychological tricks to make it appear that their games have more content while in reality they just make you replay the same rather limited content (which, frankly, is becoming even more boring and grindy) all over again. I am not paying a full price anymore for a game that only has 10 hours of original content.

Hot hot hot!

I have been running SC2 HotS for the past few days and WoL on my MBPr before that and I'm running SMC fan control and get temperatures of up to 88C even when the fans are on max the whole time... and I have my graphics settings very low:( Whenever I increase the resulution I easily get temperatures of up to 90 (93 is highest so far). How worried should I be? Will there be long-term consequences of running my MBP so hot?

I bought a cooling pad but I don't see any real improvement from it... maybe I should've gotten with a more expensive one?

First use Ctrl + Option + F to check what FPS you're getting. If you are getting very high FPS that is good and bad. Because your computer is working so hard it will get hotter. In order to prevent that look up FPS limit SC2 Mac and type that code into your variables.txt.

Besides that I would preemptively turn fans to 100% to mitigate the heat.
