Sorry, had to add my 2 cents for the people saying blu-ray is the future.
I dont think Blu-Ray is the future. It is a very short stop gap for the future, the same as 3d TV that needs glasses.

After speaking to reps for all the major TV companies, it looks set to fade away fairly soon.

My argument for blu-ray not lasting much longer?

The majority of Blu-Ray discs are watched on televisions.
The number of televisions with built in blu-ray? 0.
The number of TVs about to come out with web apps and streaming services built in? Well, pretty much all the top end ones. Just look at what panasonic and LG are about to bring out.

Blu-ray is not the future. It is the present, and a brief one at that.

dang..that shucks :(
alrite , at least they use the Core i5 25W TDP processor (and remove the discrete graphics ) , that explains the 12hr battery life
Intel hasn't announced a 25W TDP Core i5, they are only offered at 35W and 17W. All of the 25W processors are Core i7s. A 2.3GHz Core i5 would most likely be the 2410M with Turbo Boosts at 2.6/2.9GHz (according to the Sandy Bridge entry on Wikipedia).

In any case, a Core i5 would be most welcomed for the 13" MacBook Pro. I was beginning to think that they might go with a Core i3.

Integrated graphics?! What the hell?

I sincerely hope they forgot to note an additional discrete card. That's doubtful, though, I guess.

Maybe those specs are for the lower end 13? Higher end will have the MBA display. Can't wait for the mbp 15 specs.

Video will most likely be carried over Thunderbolt, as the I/O port pictured looks like a MDP.

The leaked box photos have the MDP and Thunderbolt under the same bulletin; same connector for both?
Hmm maybe, good shout.

More than doubtful lol:D

Which would be a huge pain to everyone who's now invested in all the MDP adapters, requiring repurchasing all new adapters once again. They would nev.. err.. wait, we're talking Apple here.. ugh...
