i'd be fu&king pi%sed if someone did that to my mac - i struggle to even let me wife on mine...

but i have a sick mind and would get my own back on the lot of em and make sure they ended up worse off...

any of them got a nut allergy? a paranoid other half you could play games with? (no seriously not worth dismissal)

sorry - gutted for you keep us updated with whats what though...!!!

Thanks to everyone for the helpful info! I just put an order in for a refurbished 15" 2.5ghz i5 unibody. 500g harddrive with 4 gig of ram that i will upgrade to 8 very shortly.

I still have the old mac. have yet to take it to an apple store to figure repair costs. if it costs to much to have repaired i will just part out the still good parts (like the screen, cd drive, and harddrive ect). but if its worth salvaging i guess ill have it fixed and sell to try and get some of my money invested back.

To those who support the Military thankyou for your support.
To those who do not support the military i still thankyou because even though you do not want to. your taxes keep me sleeping in a warm bed! The food may not be that good, but the beds are!

WOW!

Great news! The first time i went to mac store the genius told me i would probably have to pay 1200$ to get it repaired (but bring it in anyway he said)

Well i brought it in yesterday just to see what they would say and get this, the genius not only was really nice and helpful, but he understood fully the pain this caused me and was able to override the fact that the warranty is now void. he took the computer, had me fill out some info. and i will be contacted within the next 2 weeks. they are sending it out to get looked at (since water damage is to much for them to fix in store). so FREE of charge! They are doing 1 of 2 things! 1) Fixing my macbook pro and sending it back to me, or 2) Trading my junk mbp for a new refurbished one! Thats a winwin situation for me!

I'm going to assume u have a verizon iPhone due to the not so smart decision to let other people use your Mac.

? What is that supposed to mean?

Anyway OP, I'm glad your situation was resolved, and everything worked out for you. It shows Apple still has generous employees and great customer service :)

Nice! A great end to the story. Congrats on your first Mac. I'm still on my first one and loving it ever since.
