Macbook pro to hdtv - Cant fit screen properly

I'm truly surprised it's not there. Mind sharing the model number? I'm determined to help find a solution.

Model is TH-42PV70L panasonic. I feel pretty tired, ive been on my own trying to solve the problem, dude, i am no lazy person haha, but this just sux, its my first mac and switched from a dell just because, until now, EVERYTHING just works in a macbook! (oh well not this tv thing though haha)

i'm using a mini display port to hdmi converter and my underscan works when mirrored.
