Nvidia recently introduced project maximus, a new graphic gpu technology. It seems that no one has noticed the macbook in the demonstration presentation looks like a macbook air with a macbook pro face. Please share your views on this...

I got this pic from an article by engadget on nvidia's new gnu technology..

It does indeed look like a thin MBP with the black bezel.

I don't understand why you would want a Quadro GPU in an MBP

Besides, it all boils down to what Apple decides to put in the MBP, and history has repeatedly shown that they by and large don't care much about graphics performance.

My prediction is that we will see one last iteration of the current form factor, but without the DVD drive - just like they did with the Mac Mini. I predict minor speed bumps, e.g., 2.3GHz bumps to 2.5GHz in the 13" model.

The next iteration after that is where Apple comes up with a new form factor - most likely just oversized MacBook Airs which will be thinner and lighter than the current ones. They will have USB 3 and Ivy Bridge processors. I think they will drop the 13" Macbook Pro altogether and steer entry level users to the Macbook Air.

I heard the 2019 model is going to be nice. It will contain an Intel i8 9.342 GZ tripple duplex quad duo core Harry Potter processor. I hope im alive to see it

Realistically, best case for any late-2011 MBP upgrade will be a CPU speed bump -- something 98% of people will not even notice. That's it. Finito. We have no solid conjecture that Apple will even release a silent update of the MBP this fall, none whatsoever. Energy-draining obsession.

There will be no monumental change that is worth obsessing about until at least the middle of 2012, when MBPros with Ivy Bridge & USB3 ports come out.

Heck, I'd say that Haswell, in 2013, will be far more exciting than Ivy Bridge is gonna be--Haswell will have a 20x reduction in power usage, all day battery and 10 day standby time.

Plus, Haswell will have the kinks knocked out of it that Ivy Bridge WILL come with, as IB is a major architecture change with tri-gate transistors. Haswell is the one to keep an eye on, for sure.
