MacBook Pro Updates Imminent (Really), Part Numbers Appear

no i5 for the 13 inch, which is a major shame and no change to the MBA which stops me from updating. Bah.
 
Ahhhh man! Just went into my local Apple store and they haven't got the shipment in yet. Oh well, been waiting for months and I guess 1-2 days wait on a 15" hi-res won't hurt too much.

Do like the extended battery life but bit disappointed about a the standard 5400rpm HD and no USB 3.0. Not gonna stop me getting one though!

did they have 500GB@7200 in store or you have to order online for 7200??

course i dont want to wait anymore i will go to store today....
 
Could anyone tell me what the updates have been for the 13" - i.e. what the old specs were?
Probably going to buy my first ever mac in about 1/2 hour!

one newbie question....

is the intel core 2 duo @ 2.66Ghz much worst than inter core i5 @ 2.4Ghz ?
coz i wanted to buy the 13-inches but now i have second thoughts... :(
 
had planned for a 13" the whole time and expected an i5 or i3 atleast!!! :(

it feels bad not to get the i5 15" since its so much more advanced- cpu/graphics but its such a huge jump in price. NZ Edu. price 1799 for 13 and 2899 for 15.

Where are you located? I thought apple stores don't open until 10:00. It's only 9:15 on the east coast now?
 
Finally got rid of that wad of cash

Finally been able to unload a dime or two... Just ordered the 17 incher, i7, antiglare, 500Gb@7200rpm plus 8 Gb of RAM :)

based on the info. i dont think 7200 and 5400 have too much difference,,,maybe 0.001 second????? is thats worse $53.... i am thinking go to apple store now............ but i choose hr display for sure...

Can anyone please please summarize for newbie's what are the main differences? i can see faster cpu with 4gb...

did they change anything in graphics
 for 13" ?

have to decide 13" or the 15" :apple:

Looks like 13" didn't change at all...I could be wrong though. I would hold out though, changes will probably come to that line in a couple weeks...
