do u think i should try resetting the SMC, first and then try this, as snaky suggested?an
i was thinking about new os, would u reccomend going higher than 10.5.8?

Thanks, there it is :)

Yours can run OS X up to 10.7.4, 10.7 isn't that good and seems buggy, you might try 10.6.8 though.

Before I told you to try to install OS X on an external USB stick, if I were you I would still try to do this or on an external HD.

Did you already try to reset the SMC?

As others have said it is probably your Graphic card, but I would at least try to run a clean OS from an external source.

i have a friend i have helped develop iphone schematics and general reflow fixes with in alexandria romania i will hit him up and see what he would do for the repair he is darn good and i have helped him out a lot if you can't find anyone more local then that i can pm you his information and you two can work it out.

cheers! :)

Thread report:

I did:
1. SMC reset
2. Removed Boom app
3. Removed My day app
4. Cleaned the Macbook with compressed air
5. Downgraded VLC player

and now, after all this it looks good, video runs with no problem.
I managed to see Cloud Atlas last night, 3 hours and no lagging.
Fans still go over 6000 rpm, but no problem while playing video.

I still have to move from 10.5.4 to 10.6.8, and I was advised to remove my 160 GB disk and place a new one of 80 GB, which is perfectly enough for me.
I don`t keep a loota stuff on this MacBook.
Any advices on placing smaller HD?

Cheers people :)
