A september MBP refresh is wishful thinking. Apple has followed Intel's processor roadmap almost exactly. It probably won't happen until Ivy Bridge comes out (early 2012).

And liquidmetal is going to be used in the iPhone first, before the MBP.

The problem is, when the 2012 model comes out... everyone else will be talking about the next refresh after that ;(

Of Course! That's why there is MacRumors.com

But seriously ALL I want is a Liquid Metal MacBook Pro!

It won't happen until Ivy Bridge release! Apple is too busy selling the new air, mini and display unit!

No, a rumor is Mr. X saying that Apple is shipping a new device, or speculating on what a shift in suppliers or what have you means, or something along those lines.

Baseless speculations != rumors.

pftt liquid metal sucks, I'm waiting for the holographic version that they install in your brain after making you swallow a cybernetic insect carrying the components.

nubs.

I dont think OP understands what Liquid Metal is and is one of those people who heard about it and how it will improve durability and thinks it is cool and he wants it. A MBP with full liquid metal casing would be insanely expensive and would not be a wise move on Apples part to somthing like this. I am willing to bet a MBP that Apple will use Liquid Metal on iPhone first, and we are not going to see a Liquid Metal MBP any time soon. While i do believe Apple will refresh the design of the MBP and they might use liquid metal in the internals or to reinforce the Aluminum shell, but a Liquid metal case for the MBP, keep on dreaming mate, you are going to be disappointed.

SCREAM!
You really can't get attention from Apple even if you do this. Who knows why Apple got people who work with Liquid Metal. Perhaps it's for the new iDevices. Unless Apple decides to unleash all the Apple products refresh in October, I don't see it happening it this year. Probably mid to late 2012.
