could be, know one knows nor was apple telling anyone that the next mbp 100% had to have sandy bridge. They could do an update soon, and then a late year one as well to implement it once all the quirks are out/ or wait for ivy. They could make 2.8ghz standard instead of a BTO, add lots of flash memory, better gpu, simmer etc. A refresh of decent significance in theory still makes sense and is possible. Guess well find out,

Isn't the Intel bug only with SATAII ports? If so then why can't they just make laptop boards using SATAIII ports. You only ned 2 of those.

same. sandy bridge is better, thats how each generation is, but overall its not a mega leap like the current core i processors are over core duo and core 2 duo.

is it possible apple may actually use AMD fusion chips and not SB?

Who cares. The Macbook Pro's will only see a speck update. Not a redesign. No one will really notice the difference anyway.

It's such a waste and such a shame that even on these forums people are too egocentric and lazy to read the forum first before posting a new topic and realizing that there is already a topic with 5 pages going on about this subject.
Too bad I thought Apple users were different....

Passive aggressive much?
