Macbook screen hit by flying beer bottle screen toast

My white MacBook took a direct hit from a flying beer bottle on the weekend. As a consequence, the screen is now toast - LCD is totally cracked. Two choices I assume 1. take to Apple and repair at big cost 2. fit generic LCD screen.

Any thoughts?

Thats a 250$ dollar fine if your car gets stolen and the keys were in the ignition

Thanks for all your comments...it seems there is a lot of interest out there as to how it happened and to see a pic...happened at a party ... we were all tanked and my girlfirend threw a half empty at me for an untoward comment - not intending to the the beloved Macbook...unforntuanatley it missed me as her drunken aim was poor at smacked beloved full on...killing the music....

To make matters worse...im in Dubai....and getting a mac fixed her is harder than finding bin laden...quoted nearly 1000usd by a local apple distributor...computer now at a repair shop....will post a pic if it cant be repaired there....

Dubai ... WOW, last weekend I saw on TV couple shows on the "Palm" and the "World" projects thought that was really really cool.

Back to the poor MacBook. At $1000.00usd you might as well buy a new MacBook.
