One Macbook's shipping times

We ordered on July 12th, and our MacBook (with extra RAM and drive space) arrived today July 25th - 3 days earlier than the expected delivery date. However, it shipped exactly on the expected ship date, so it was Fedex that was faster.

So, they don't appear to be delaying them any extra time right now.

Update: mine shipped today so should arrive in the next week.
 
Got mine today from Amazon (next day delivery). And I love it. I loved my powerbook, but I always wanted something smaller than 15", but could not live with the 1024x768 of the 12".

Ordered my MacBook on July 24th. Got shipped on 29th July, got assigned straight away with TNT International Express but it's now the 1st August and I still think its in the same place as where it started. When I check the tracking system it says:

So I don't know when mine is going to turn up. Hopefully soon. Anyone else had this problem?
 
F^@*ing Apple and their ship times. I ordered mine on the 17th! And it still hasn't arrived! Now it says there is a customs delay because Apple forgot to include the commercial Invoice with their order! Which may take an additional 24-48 hours to come in, on top of the 3-5 business day delivery estimate by fedex, so now its a total of 7 days, i.e. another full week almost.

Meh. I'm extremely frustrated with this shipping business. I mean, how in the hell do you forget to put in a commercial invoice for over 500 orders. It's been two weeks since I ordered and it seems like there's going to be another week of waiting time.

I confronted Apple with this Fedex claim and they denied it. I then called Fedex again to demand proof that the commercial invoice was missing and Fedex very convieniently changed the statement they had made before and now it was a matter of "internal business" between them and Apple. Stupid business ethics crap pissing me off!!!!

so last friday I log in to my gmail, and there's an offer from apple to buy a mac & get a 'free' ipod, and so I click the 'find out more' button, and five clicks later, I'm owning a macbook & ipod w/video.

wow! took all of, like, ten mintues!

and then every day now I'm on the phone with apple, checking fedex on the hour, waiting waiting waiting for my clicks to materialize.

the ipod should get here in a couple hours, but the macbook is stuck in shanghai, due to 'beyond our control' circumstances. I even changed my order from the upgraded 80gig harddrive down to the 60gig stock (planing to upgrade to a WD 120gig, also in the mail), just so they wouldn't have to ship it all the way from china!

But lo and behold, it's coming from china anyhow, which is cool only for the fact that its going to be a week 31 machine... hot spanking new.

now, the weather gods must be entreated. i'm going to hawaii on sunday, and so it better be here by friday! the apple bro I spoke to said it 'should' get there 'by then', 'weather permitting' -- and no way to change it to overnight shipment!

makes me wonder if all that time I spend with my students teaching them to be patient is a waste of time -- by their era, waiting will be so '00's!

yeah mine was stuck in shanghai for over night "delayed due to factors beyond out control" (?!) and then, suddenly, its in anchorage, now flying down the west coast

be here on thursday 'before 10:30'
 
ibidien, my macbook is in the same shipment as yours. Apparently apple shipped 513 online orders from china and forgot to include the commercial invoice for them and they got held at customs. A fedex rep. let this slip when I DEMANDED why my macbook was delayed and wouldn't settle for "circumstances beyond our control" bullcrap.

Anyways, the invoice seems to have arrived as my order has been released from Anchorage. Hoping it arrives in the morning :D

Pro Shipped Aug 2nd, its in my hands right now aug 4th. Although they forgot to put in the harddrive I ordered. I used 2 day shipping, only 24 dollars.
 
Ordered a white 2gb ipod nano and a 1.83 ghz macbook w stock everything except upgrade to 1gb RAM. MB not sent yet, but the ipod left Shenzen today at 8:12 PM.

MB not expected to ship till Aug. 8th.:rolleyes:

Does FED EX deliver on weekends?
 
I ordered a Macbook today and for some reason Apple say it'll arrive either on or just before Aug 25th :mad:

I hope it comes much sooner cause I leave for college on the 26th :(
 
I ordered the white macbook 1.83ghz (stock) along with a 4gb ipod nano (engraved) on August 7 and received both on August 11. Standard free shipping.
 
Ordered my MacBook today (black standard config). Est Shipping Date 27/09, Est Arrival Date 06/10! Can't believe it might take 20 days to get my MacBook! :( Hopefully my order might end up like quicksilvers! :D

You may be HAPPY your order is going to take sooooooooooo long..who knows..you might up getting a merom macbook! :D
 
Greetings!

I ordered a 2GHz Macbook white yesterday and hope to see it soon as well. I have spent the day foraging the internet reading articles about the Macbook - heat, random restarts, possible Core 2 debut Sept 25th. I am a little anxious about it all but I love Macs. If they DO have the Merom chip debut then ordering this close I SURE WOULD WANT ONE!
