I've heard of speaking macs earlier, it's not a virus it's someone who have turned that on, but I don't remember what it was :(

People should really read the other posts before replying - we've discovered the cause of it (a Widget, and the YouTube video demonstrates that perfectly).

this is exactly what i have:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7z8ikMTxCc

really, i haven't had anyone over since i got this think that knows much about computers...
i may have connected to neighbor's wifi though at one point when i was figuring out the airport card. would it have been possible to have gotten it that way?

Anyone tell me how that video allowed him to display the Finders icon?

We need a victim to download that widget and then see if it happens.

Actually we don't even need that much. Here is a screenshot of the burning man widget when you right-click > "Show package contents". Lo and behold, here is the audio file, and it is the same one.

Now to check whether it is a bug, or someone playing a practical joke.

That's just the command + tab which you usually pull up with more applications showing, and you use to move between applications without your mouse (command + tab to bring it up and move to the next application, click tab repeatedly to scroll through applications)... it looks weird just cause it only has Finder open, and he was using it to show that he had no other applications since just Finder was showing there.

Thanks guys!

I just had a cust come in with this exact issue.
He had not read this board (at least not all the way thru...) and it was definetly the Burning Man widget. I got about 3 of the audio loops going at the same time by launching extra copies of the widget.

Thanks for the assist! :)

You don't need to remove the whole widget

You just need to remove think.mp3.

Go to ~/Library/Widgets/BurningMan-Countdown then right click and hit "show pkg contents" and delete think.mp3. Or find / -name think.mp3 and then delete it.

edit: sorry, already answered, I thought I was at the end of the thread but was only at the end of page 1
