I dont care for definitions really, you got my point, your just nitpicking at how I said it.

Why is it that bush can pull of edjumacation as a word but i get in trouble for not finding a better way to word negative hype?

Maybe you guys hold me in a higher regard than a monkey?:p im honored lol

Funny, you think I was just nitpicking, yet all you focus on is that "nitpicking". I don't ask you to use the queens english (I'm danish myself, so that wouldn't work, would it?), but at least acknowledge how it's impossible for me, a single man, to create "negative hype".

And, yes, I do hold you in higher regard than a monkey. Just.

:p:D;)

I agree. Take away the suicide doors and use a little less busy colour scheme, and there we go. :D

Haha, thanks. Would you believe I concocted it myself?

Yup, I know it's not personal - don't worry. It's the same for me. A good discussion is always fun. No matter if it's nitpicking or not. Especially at ten to six in the morning (couldn't sleep).

I was in both Stonestown, S.F. and Stockton Street stores and the MBs and MPBs were flying off the schelves. I scored the very last MacBook ($1,600) at 7p at Stonestown! :D :) :D :) :D

They were completely out of the $1,300 model already the Apple dude told me. MBPs were moving at a ratio of 3:2 (without benefit of cheap MBs in stock, so that would prolly be more like 6:3 MB to MBP under normal circumstances).

Sorry to hear man, i picked one up from the sacramento, ca store at about 7pm.

I guess they still had them because you had to ask for them, there were no displays, but they had them in the back and were selling them.

The apple dude at the Syracuse apple store seemed to sound like they still had a ton even after them selling a lot...got mine no problem yesterday night!

yes, it's true, people are idjits.

Seriously, though, if you want to give the impression that there's a huge demand for something (i.e. hype a product to the common man), deliver only a small amount of the item, all the while making sure everyone and their mamma knows about said item.

Also, they haven't even arrived to my country (Denmark) yet.

Edit:

See above on how to create hype and make belief there's a huge demand for something.

well, they sold out 70 in one store in glasgow, in one day.

If you take a look at all the posts, Apple weren't limiting anything – nor were they sold out everywhere as he implied.
It was the OP who pretended that they were hard to come by for some odd fanboyish reason, seemingly using the McDonald's argument (appeal to popularity).

When I went into the stockton store, they had sold 10 within the 5 mins of being in there. Crazy.
