Not now, at least. The fees would outweigh the rewards, IMO. Who uses blu-ray everyday??
 
IIRC you can connect a blu-ray writer to OSX and use it as a data disk. Not sure what application to use though.

The issue is playing blu-ray movies under OSx, which is not curretly supported.
 
Since Snow Leopard doesn't have any Bluray playback enabled software at the moment, it is unlikely you will see Bluray in the next 2-3 months on a Mac especially macbooks. The most likely Mac to receive Bluray first is the Mac Pro.
 
You are more likely to see two hard drives and no optical drive in a Mac Book before it'll ever get BluRay. Apple already introduced this concept with the MacBook Air....now the Mac Mini Server.

In that regard I really like the Mac mini Server.
