If you buy it, do you have to install all of the products right away or can you download them and be able to do it later? I might go for it but I don't think I would want to install them all right now.

fark still no email
Use the order lookup link to get your serials.

I think you can wait with most of them... there was a couple mentioning something about doing it before a certain date, at least one was in June this year or thereabouts, but as long as you have the downloaded installer, name (just as the receipt shows) and the serial I think most of them should be good... at least for a while... ;)

Edit: It was Speed Download and Cha-Ching (at least) and it was on or before July 23rd. :) Not sure how long that Wingnuts discount code is good for, either...

Just $686 more to charity and the final app, VectorDesigner, will be unlocked. May very well happen in the next couple hours.

it's unlocked now. Too bad I haven't even gotten my codes for any of them anyway. Soon enough I suppose.

I guess the vector app just 'opened' up as I was visiting the website and thinking about buying the bundle. I'm definitely going to buy it now that the last app is there.

Quick question though, I saw how you can refer the bundle to friends or other people and you get more apps that way, so I was wondering if it works both ways? For example, I'm about to buy the bundle right now, and maybe one of you guys can 'refer' me and you can get the extra apps, but will I get the apps too? If so, then the first one to send me their link will get them, any takers?

will I get the apps too?

You will get the apps in the bundle, but to get the referral apps somebody must be referred by you.

As noted above, there is a thread full of choices, some are willing to trade as well: you refer them, they refer you, you both get the first referral app. Or, you could pick someone like me who just PM'd you, already traded with someone for the first app, and would really like to get the second referral for Notebook. :)

Anyone else have a problem with their Cha-Ching serial not working?
Did you use the special promo build, downloadable from the MacHeist site or the regular from the Cha-Ching website?

MacHeist receipt said:
Cha-Ching must be activated using the provided promo version. This version is the same as the currently released build of Cha-Ching in every way besides activation, which is required to track promo customers. You can upgrade to new versions using official, non promo releases through MidnightApps.com, or Cha-Chings's auto updating.

OK, I am downloading Wingnut now from the MacHeist order page but there is not a link to the Tiki Golf. It takes you to their website and then when you click on download demo it asks you for a username and password. If you click on login or cancel it states there are the maximum of 25 users logged in.

I can't get Tiki Golf either. Says I don't have permission to access via FTP.

I just ran across this deal tonight. My problem is that I dont have a mac yet. I will be purchasing one in a couple months when I will have more funds. These are apps that I want, but I am worried that my serial codes may go bad or I wont be able to download the software later. Someone said something about that happening last time.

I dont want to pass the deal up. At the same time I want the apps to work when I get my mac. Anyone have any wisdom to share?

Thanks.

My first Mac is on order (iMac 2.8GHz). It's due for delivery in a week or two and this bundle looks very tempting. If I bought it now what would I receive (I am on a Windows PC) and would I be able to install the programs on a couple of weeks time?

Sorry for the newbie question.

Thanks,
Mark Morb

You should be fine. You can download all of the apps right away if you're worried about links going bad, or the authors updating to new versions that no longer work with your serial codes. Just keep the ZIP and DMG files on your PC until you can move them onto your new Mac. Most of the serial numbers themselves are in the email you get when you buy the Heist, so you should be fine.

What happened to me last time was I bought DEVONthink as part of the package, and the instructions said "Go to the website and enter promo code XXX and you will get your serial number by email". This was in December 2006. I finally got around to actually doing it, in October 2007. Last night I was poking around their website and finally saw the posting they made, back in July, saying "last chance to use those Heist promo codes!" Oops. Even if I'd still not installed DEVONthink until September, I could have avoided the fuss if I had applied for my serial code ASAP, and just sat on it, instead of doing nothing for that long.

This time I've already gone and downloaded all of my Heist apps for safekeeping.

Mark Morb, you will receive a single e-mail with a list of download links and serial numbers for all the apps in the Heist. Download all the files to your PC and hang on to them until you get your Mac.

One question about the MacHeist....are the licenses you receive for the bundled applications "full" (ie. you can get all the upgrades)? Or will you need to update/buy a new license when one of the bundled apps upgrades to a new version?
