they will make it, but odd that this post is the first mention I've seen here in MR. USually there is a big ad and news item.

Well, there is another thread, but it's full of referral links. I thought it'd be interesting/helpful to discuss the bundle itself.

It looks like they're just barely going to make $400K. I think the organisers will put the super lock at $500K and add a week. At the rate they're going, that's what they'll need to guarantee it's unlocked.

I bought the bundle mainly for THL and Espresso. I might use iSale and Picturesque or Acorn occasionally. Maybe even BoinxTV if you don't need specialised equipment.

Here's a better bundle:
- Candybar
- Papers
- Omnigraffle
- Scrivener
- Twitterific
- Call Recorder for Skype
- Posterino

I got it because wiretap studio is such an awesome little app and is worth $39 to me. When BoinxTV becomes available, it will be the best "free" app ever. Can't wait to try that one out. I'll likely look at espresso, but dreamweaver is fine for my needs.

They just broke the 400K mark. I downloaded Boinxtv and played with it a little. Can't wait to get to work so I can connect a couple cameras and see how it goes. Sweet.

Well, the super unlock is only at 500K. Thank God, we're going to get them!

And Times has been added as a bonus app. That's quite cool.

The directorate has already stated that he won't be extending the bundle's deadline. He said the only thing he does is let's it go a few hours late in order to make up for time zone differences and the hopeful mad rush at the end. However, you definitely will not see extra days added on.

They need to sell 8,816 bundles in 2 days to reach the $500K target. If they don't extend the deadline, I'm not sure it's going to be met.

Hopefully, all apps will be unlocked... It has been looking better in the last few hours... I want that HTML editor :)

As it is the case with every application bundle, some apps I do not really need them, but some other ones are cool and useful! I also like the fact they have added a couple of apps that were not there...

And of course, it's for a good cause as well!

I'd be highly surprised if all apps aren't unlocked. In the last 13 hours they've sold sufficient bundles to add about $31,000 to the total raised for charity and crossed over the line from 3 to 2 days left. As of right now, they are $69,008 from a total unlock. If we assume sales were constant today and remain so, the target will be passed. However, in practice the outlook is better than that because sales seem to be accelerating.

I m also expecting to get THL and maybe Espresso. If I dont get it I will be very sad because of THL. But still I believe it is decent pack of softwares.

For people who like to criticize everything please offer us a better value for 39.

Well it's up to $440K so fingers crossed for Espresso :D

I really though with 3 days out there would be little chance for anymore unlocks, but YAY! it looks like we might get all the applications.

Time left

They have to get exactly 51283 sales total, and have a little over 3,000 left to go.

I dont think it is going to be passed in time, but at least I got the other apps.

I really wanted World of Goo as a game and am going to take advantage of Sous Chef, Boinx TV, and Acorn. The others we will see, but at least I have them.

A TUAW blog post and a little nudge from MacRumors and we're sure to get it now!

$487,000 right now :)

I wasn't planning to, but I just bought. $39 for that many apps is hard to pass up even for just the couple I'm interested in. I'll be super happy if Espresso is unlocked and it's probably (hopefully) a sure thing at this point with less than $10k to go.

This is not true, as everyone is not buying the bundle @ $39. If you participated in the missions before the bundle went for sale, then you could have gotten 4 $2 discounts = $8 total discount. Which means there are the following price points:

$31, $33, $35, $37, & $39

However, the target will no doubt be reached, as there is less than $7,000 more needed (for charity). This should be done within the next 1 hour I would say - sales are ramping up like crazy right now. Also, it is not over yet, as those who participate in the forums and the missions have gained points. No one knows what these points are for, but one can only imagine towards more apps near the end. The directorate of the heist has also said they expect huge sales at the end, meaning one of two things:

1. Huge sales once Espresso and The Hit List are unlocked
2. Huge sales due to an extra bonus app being added to raise more money.

Wow, if you watch the donation counter, it is jumping at least $10 every 5 seconds. Congrats all on a successful heist!

EDIT: $5,000 more!

I have more than enough referrals for Pop-pop and the Koingo Utility Package, where do I get them? The links on the invite page just send me to their website and the apps aren't on the receipt or anything.

Edit: Nevermind, they're in the "loot" section of the website.

THEY HAVE JUST DONE IT!!!!

Well.... I'm not that happy :)
