Solid deals? Most of those are what, 5 to 8 percent off? Hardly the thing that would get a non-fence sitter to move, IMO. I am not suggesting Apple should lower their prices and get into a race to the bottom. But I imagine that most who want one would just pony up and get one when the time is right. Start getting into the 20-25% off range and we might see people altering their shopping plans to take advantage of a truly "solid" deal. Just IMHO.

Exactly. However, not having to pay sales tax can save up to $150-200, which is nice. What turns me off is a lack of information regarding shipping.

these deal sucks, i seen better deals coming from ebay sellers that sells 256gb mbp 13 for 1200
$1200 for a box of magazines is the risk eBay buyers take nowadays. No AppleCare option on those magazines, too! I'll pass. :D

These aren't deals when you can get better prices from Apple's refurb store. It's not like MacMall is tax free.

I'm sure someone will say that these are new vs refurb, and that you'll get a nice retail box/packaging vs a plain brown box, but the refurbs are as good as new with a full 1 year warranty. And is a retail box/packaging really worth anything?

Examples:

13" rMBP:
- 2.7GHz/8GB/128GB - $1,197 vs $1,099 from Apple
- 2.7GHz/8GB/256GB - $1,397 vs $1,269 from Apple
- 2.9GHz/8GB/512GB - $1,697 vs $1,529 from Apple
- 3.1GHz/16GB/512GB - $2,097 vs $1,869 from Apple

15" rMBP:
- 2.2GHz/16GB/256GB/Iris Pro - $1,799 vs $1,699 from Apple
- 2.5GHz/16GB/512GB/Iris AMD - $2,249 vs $2,119 from Apple
- 2.8GHz/16GB/1TB/Iris AMD - $2,949 vs $2,719 from Apple

13" MBA:

- 13-inch 1.6GHz/4GB/128GB - $899 vs $849 from Apple
- 13-inch 1.6GHz/4GB/256GB - $1,098 vs $1,019 from Apple
- 13-inch 2.2GHz/8GB/512GB - $1,668 vs $1,489 from Apple

I'd save over 20% buying directly from Apple via Apple Pay (w/ my Discover card, of course).

You obviously haven't shopped ebay in the last year. Ebay sales are totally skewed toward the buyer. The seller gets screwed no matter what the buyer says. The seller has no protection anymore. If the buyer files an immediate claim saying the item wasn't as described, no-questions-asked the seller not only has to refund the buyer, but has to pay return shipping.

A box of magazines is pretty heavy. I don't think any seller wants to have to pay to ship those back, PLUS refund the buyer.

I no longer sell anything on ebay. There is NO risk for the buyer anymore.

LOL... you don't want to sell products that meet those conditions? Explain why there SHOULD be risk to a buyer, please.

can you get this discount and student (about 20%) together ?

Of course, and if you ask nicely they'll paint it for you, wrap a gold bow around it and deliver it on a horse and cart with a picnic hamper, together with an extra "Happy Hour" $800 discount! :p
