Personally, I'd like to see a better Finder for accessing files/folders. Maybe I'm corrupted from years of Windows use, but I got hooked on an alphabetical folder view that listed folders at the top, followed by files.

MacOS 10.12 has this option in Finder preferences.

Fix the green button bug; windows should be expanded to the maximum size possible without hiding NECESSARY access to the file menu and dock. For some reason the green button hides them. Pretty boneheaded by Apple.

Agree 100%

-FaceTime with 3+ users
-Facetime that doesn't pause/turn the camera off in full screen apps (sort of mentioned above via PiP)
-(side note - FaceTime should be in landscape by default if between two Macs)
-Better AirPods integration, including clearer task bar indication of connection and widget/some easier way to easily view AirPods battery levels (and better audio quality when using the mic, if possible)
-Fix for live photos - currently, iCloud/Photo Stream syncs just the still image from iPhone and not the video. When importing from iPhone to Photos app over USB, Photos imports the live photo video files SEPARATELY. ridiculous.
-Ability to delete duplicates in Photos.
-Additional free iCloud storage (5GB is pathetic).

I'm sure there is more, but the above irritates me daily.

Also, PLEASE maintain speed and stability, even for older Macs (like my 2013 retina MBP, which still runs like a dream on Sierra).

Window-snapping similar to BetterSnapTool (no offense to the BST folks. Love your work! But, if it's embedded, and I don't have to download yet another app, all the better, IMHO).

Apple Music/iTunes Continuity/Handoff
Apple News App
Health App
Watch Activity App
"Hey" Siri
Video Handoff
More reliable continuity features in general
Smarter, more capable Siri.
Messaging features from iOS
iTunes overhaul
TouchID more widespread. Locking apps, hiding photos, etc.
A much better App Store. Preferably a unified one with iOS.
Facetime conference calls
Gif support in Photos.
Better notifications
View iPhone/Apple Watch battery levels.

No thanks, I like it the way it is.

Dark mode-Yes please.
APFS-100% sure it will be on 10.13, hope it makes MacOS faster like APFS on iOS
Why can you be 100% sure APFS will be available on 10.13? Do you know why it's not there yet on macOS now?

• Steal Microsoft's implementation of split window view. Or license it. Whatever it takes. Bring it to the Mac. Apple's version of it just sucks and is painful to use.
• Let me FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING HOLY turn off window edge snapping in the Finder. That feature drives me up the freakin' wall.

The only thing I wish for is more settings for the OS itself, because compared to other OS' macOS starts to feel like a (at least beautiful) toy. Just take a look at disk utility or apples own office apps. Instead of adding new settings and options, they remove them. It would be nice to adjust volume on HDMI/DP (Windows and Linux can do this), or to disable ambient light compensation when automatic brightness is enabled. Everyone knows that Time Capsule is dead, meanwhile Time Machine is one of the best backup solutions I've ever seen, so more settings for it would be appreciated again ( e.g. maximum backup size, the possibility of using any network share etc). I'm a huge fan of time machine, but with more settings, man this thing would rock!

My Mac(s) is/are my day to day machine(s) and the following is my wish list and in no particular order:

1) Combine Mail and iCal into a single app
2) Move Chess and other non essential apps to the App Store as free downloads if required/needed
3) Dockbar support in multi screen setup
4) provide UI support for CLI tools like 'purge'
5) bring back the Sites folder :)
6) make Chrome the default browser
7) prevent flash from ever being used
8) ditch iTunes
9) make Pages great again and include bleeds
10) provide a container technology as standard

:)

It needs a feature like Trip Mode built in for managing mobile broadband data and metered connections. macOS currently does a bad job with limited connections. The minute it detects your mobile connection (Hotspot), it eats off all my data. Its partly why I haven't been using my Mac full time. Windows has included this since Windows 8, Apple needs to do same.

I quite like this split view for full screen apps that's been suggested. Hadn't thought of it at all before but I use full screen and Spaces a lot. This would be great.

For gods sake don't let them use the iPad split view picker though.

iCloud Backup for Mac.. (the same way our iPhones and iPads backup) duh... that dinosaur Time Machine app will finally get dragged to the cemetery.

For a person who backup +100Gb every week (VM's) that would be a very very bad idea. Add iCloud as an option if you like, but removing TM as it is would be a disaster. No other OS has anything like TM which is sad as it's fantastic.
