Additional Notes
  • The final release will release on September 26, 2023 and not alongside iOS 17.
  • Please know, Memory Management has always been an issue on any OS (not just Apple's). If you believe there is a Memory Leak, please go to the Apple Menu > Restart > Restart to fix it.
  • When a new macOS release comes out, all issues automatically go to "Untested Issues" until they are moved by someone. Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 14 Sonoma will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.
  • macOS 14 is officially supported on the following devices. If your device is not listed below, it has unfortunately been dropped by Apple. Any efforts of trying to get your Mac running macOS 14, including bugs should be discussed in this thread.

This beta appears to break the Rogue Amoeba audio apps Soundsource, Loopback, Fission and Audio Hijack; all of which show an 'Incompatible Version' error message.

Seems to have broken "Unlock with Apple Watch" feature. I don't know if the problem is with Mac OS 14.1 beta or Watch OS 10.1 beta.

Well, FWIW, it stopped working for me on macOS 14 and watchOS 10.0.2

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Unlock with Apple Watch is working for me, macOS 14.1b1 and watchOS 10.0.1. Was also working on macOS 14.0.

What happens when you toggle the unlock with Apple Watch setting on the Mac? I've had issues before and sometimes, you need to unpair and re-pair the watch to the iPhone again to get it working.

This has been happening on and off to me for years now. Whenever this stops working for me, and I go to toggle it back on, I get a message that my Watch must be signed in with the Same Apple account as my Mac... which it is. I've also made sure that Bluetooth is enabled and both are on the same WiFi.

Yup, same issue as me before. I'm assuming you checked in the Apple Watch app on the iPhone under General-->Apple ID? I've seen my Apple ID in the logged-out state for whatever reason before. If it's not logged-out, then you would have to unpair the Apple Watch, make sure it's removed from your devices under Settings->iCloud, then re-pair the watch again. That should make it work again until some future update throws it out again.

Yeah, I've been thru all the troubleshooting with this. Unpairing / Repairing the Watch is pretty Time Consuming. I can just enter my Password. It works to Unlock my M1 MBP just not my 2018 Mac mini..

I had no issue until updating to Mac OS 14.1 beta and Watch OS 10.1 beta. Before the latest update, it worked - for the most part.

Now when I go to toggle on my Mac, it just "spins" indefinitely without connecting. After awhile, it says...

. It is on and unlocked. But never connects.

Hey all,

After update my MacBook Air (M1) to new OS SONOMA, the redirection of local printers doesn't work anymore.
Printers are visible and can be selected, but no printing of the document will happen.
Anyone an idea how to solve this issue?

Situation:
- Working from home.
- Make secure VPN connection to the company.
- Start Remote Desktop program.
- Connect to Terminal Server.
- Want to print from Terminal Server to printer at home. I start example the program Word.
- Fill in text and choose the printer at home.
- No error message but no job in the printer queue.
Before MacOS Sonoma it works. Now we can't print.
I've several people on the company with the same problem.
Meaning not a problem at home with printer or connection.

Thank you!

Beta 2 seems to have fixed Unlock with Apple Watch feature.
