Redesigning UI around a device that didn't sell and probably doesn't have much feedback from the average consumer is a bold strategy. Let's see if it pays off for them.

You can shove the apps you don't use onto another page. That's what I do. The apps I do want are all on the first page, the rest are somewhere I don't have to look at them. Then you have to organize them yourself.

I do. They still show up when I search

Also it's really tedious moving icons around

I should just use spotlight, except it's broken and won't find anything. I've done everything I've found to fix it, to no avail. Only thing I haven't done is do a full reset, which I don't want to

Waiting to see the redesign of the software this year. It is also possible that new version of macOS might be available only for Apple silicon macs.

change for the sake of change. please no. work on things like driver support of older but still needed hardware like DVD-R's ( until you need to access optiical media via tangle of adapters, you won't understand its not a happy place ) , all the usual security fixes and new hardware support. Something cool ? run legacy OS in VM for access to olders software & external hardware, where its a couple clicks to install and get running for those times when you need this. It would be really nice to see app binaries loose intel support and become 1/2 the curret size they are.
Exactly. Get back to building a great Desktop/laptop OS, instead of squeezing in new features from other devices year after year.

The last intel macs to go out the door was the 2018 mac mini that was on sale up until january 2023. That's just a little over 2 years ago. Don't think that will be cut off already, and if they are going to support the 2018 mac mini, I don't think the list will change. Which is good news for my iMac Pro and MBP 16" 2019. :D
Yeah, yeah, I do have a 14" M1 Max too, but I tend to use the intel. I like the intel 16". It is thinner and lighter than a M1-4 16" and performance is good enough and the screen is still good (and larger than the 14"). Also, I have changed my mind on the touchbar, it is not totally useless :D

There's no way they're going to call it Diablo.

But Diablo II, I could see that.

I’d like them to fix the search in “Settings” as its results are horribly inaccurate and bring back the old “Calculator”. The current one is a joke.

With such 'large' graphical changes you'd think a new naming scheme would be implemented, otherwise California, Skyline or Pacific seem fitting. The menu bar in the render looks terrible.

Never forget what they took from you.View attachment 2512323
With the older System Preferences app, I used to list the prefpanes in alphabetical order, and was peeved when I didn't see that option in the subsequent System Settings app. For some reason I didn't see, until today, that the alphabetical list view is still available under System Settings' "View" menu.

As long as Apple keeps the misnamed "Reduce Transparency" on /off toggle (it should have been named translucency), I'll be absolutely happy.

OK, maybe not absolutely, but at least it'll be something.
