Curious: what aspect/s is/are broken? I've not yet noticed. Thanks.

Here's how it's gonna look when there's anything other than a relatively clean and simple Wallpaper behind your app:

I had fomo when I was a running older macs and not able to update to latest os but now I can I can’t think of any new Mac OS features that I use in the last 5 years…

The last think I really remember that’s made a difference to my daily use is desktop and document sync with iCloud .

Other than that it’s all the same to me

For example, if a user touches a button or control on the screen, the report said a relevant set of commands will instantly appear in a menu surrounding their finger. And if a user taps on an item in the menu bar at the top of the screen, the report said the controls will enlarge so they are easier to select with a finger.
This also sounds like a Vision Pro-adjacent UI thing, in which the OS watches your hands/fingers to receive input.

iOS 26.4 will feature Siri 2.0
Not a single feature for Siri 2.0.
Apple is working on Siri 3.0
In the meanwhile iOS 27; will have a Siri chatbot.

Apple has failed big time but at least we will have a very exppencive Apple Fold... and a pendulum, and AirPods with AI and glasses.
But how will these devices work if they can't get their AI running as said in 2024?

Less glass or I'll pass

This floating sidebar on the left will never stop bothering me, and why on Earth would you want the content area to be translucent and showing what's underneath?

I don't understand why the article's author chose that particular image to illustrate macOS 27. It seems to be an image of an icon-editing app, rather than the Finder or some other more commonly-used app, and so it's not representative of much of anything except the UI decisions made by the people who wrote that app. Or maybe a person didn't write the app--maybe Claude did, but he's not a person yet.

From an academic perspective, I can see why an icon-editing app would show translucency, so that the person creating the icon can see how it will affect the visibility of their icon as it's moved around on the desktop. But people who create icons can/should choose to make their icons opaque to retain visibility. The sidebar translucency is one of the same old nonsensical aspects of Liquid Glass that began with the 26 series of OSs, so nothing new there.
