Siri agent and fix bugs, stope there, we dont need more at this moment.
Some daily bugs are 10 years old already

'Pretty' is for 5-year-old children with Crayons and a coloring book. I need a visibly functional GUI, not a pretty interface.
What? LOL! Maybe you’re just not the target audience. Apple has always prioritized aesthetics and design over ergonomics and functionality. Remember the what orientation is it Puck Mouse? Or the great ergonomic Magic Mouse? The one and only single port MacBook? The flatter than flat Butterly Keyboard? The Antennagate because one more line would look ugly antenna?

Yes Apple pushed design sometimes too far and they have to go back a step, but aesthetics are the core of Apple and I love them for that.

Less glass or I'll pass

This floating sidebar on the left will never stop bothering me, and why on Earth would you want the content area to be translucent and showing what's underneath?

Yeah, the one thing that macOS 27 needs be is vastly different to macOS 26 and back to what it was. The adoption rate of macOS has been slow since 26 and I for one, have to say this is the first macOS I have not desired to update to at all.

Every single Major release of macOS had me itching to update when stable, but Tahoe has kept me as far away as possible. Sadly, I am sure there are a nice few under-the-hood tweaks for Apple Silicon, so my M2 could receive some optimisations. But I cannot stand the UI/UX!

This redesign was never released as a need for Form following function, this macOS was a recovery strategy for a company that fell behind in the Ai race and botched other releases before. Almost like a quick win for Apple, nothing to do with user experience or requirements of the user.

Siri chatbot? Yeah right. They can’t even get the “improved Siri” they talked about in the summer of 2024 into betas yet and their official line is “it’s still coming in 2026 … even though we never said it would be in iOS 26.4 but actively decided to leak it through Gurman and our other unofficial media outlets right up until a few weeks ago … oops”.

At this rate the Siri chat bot will be here in 2029, about the time the next President assumes office.

macOS 27 will reportedly include a full-out Siri chatbot that you can have back-and-forth conversations with

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Siri, why are you still so dumb?"

"Who are you calling dumb??"

"You, since you still can't consistently play a track in the Music app, or turn a light on or off, even when I speak my request very clearly."

"Well, Apple never promised those SPECIFIC features would be improved once I became a chatbot, so what are you complaining about?"

And it goes back and forth like this for a while

This will probably be the version of OSX that finally puts the last nail in AFP's coffin. I still have plenty of users who prefer AFP over Apples implementation of SMB due to performance concerns. It's gotten better with all the tweaks going around in the community, but I would prefer it if Apples out of box SMB performance especially to Windows based shares was a bit more performant.
That is one thing I hope doesn't happen for 27.

I would be one of them. I greatly prefer AFP over SMB to this day. It certainly is faster and feels more stable. Leave SMB for interacting with Windows and give us Mac users AFP. That is how it should have stayed. After all these years, SMB can't match AFP for me. I really wonder if people at Apple know how to code anymore. Man, in the Mac OS 8+ Steve Jobs days, I felt Apple could code anything better than most companies. Not any longer.

That’s the thing, I don’t see how this can be both a bug fix release and yet another major interface overhaul.

It still astounds me that Apple watched Microsoft do this same thing to themselves out of fear of the iPad and it was a decade long disaster. And now they want to do it to themselves for no reason at all.
It can be a bug fix release, and the "major interface overhaul" would be going back to the Sequoia interface that they already have the code for.

I may be in the minority here but, I would like to see an automatic sync option between devices. This would allow seamless use moving between different Macs so that the dock and other user settings for the OS and apps are automatically synced between devices anytime there is a change.
