They need to fix Safari is they want to release Beta 3 as the public beta.

Works fine in the Technology Preview, which is a newer WebKit build.

Anyone else noticed a ton of errors while using Disk Utility's First Aid? I get a lot of "Unexpected security xattr"? First Aid still completes, but repeat runs don't clear the errors.

Doesn't seem to be causing a problem, but I didn't start getting these until the OS 27 betas.

Interestingly, a new feature (for me) - when you run First Aid while booted into the volume, macOS now spotlights the Disk Utility window and greys out everything else. I assume this is to make it obvious you can't interact with the system if you running it on your boot volume.

running beta disk utility seems like a wild thing to do!

Same here, do you run Time Machine?

If so it may be related to this (excuse the alarmist title)

Could be. I did have TM enabled, but not actually backing up to anything. I have multiple full-disk backups, so at least I won't suffer any data loss.

See above. Also, how else can you test something?

USB icon stuck on the Desktop even after trying to inject it using the right click menu inject option even though it was injected yesterday.
I was using a dongle to connect it, does not appear in Disk Utility.

I'm having an issue where my Mac Studio and MacBook Air display some screenshots sent from a friend's iPhone as static. They appear on my iPhone just fine. All are running macOS/iOS 27 DB3.

I can't figure out if there is a setting I have screwed up causing this. It wasn't doing it prior to DB3.

Great wallpaper. Jackson Pollock's paintings are coming to MacOS.

Three things have changed wrt battery charging. Two bad, one good. I think they're all related.

1) Siri can't give any information relating to the state of the battery
2) Automations which trigger on battery % fail
3) The (optionally set) battery charge limit now works EVEN WHEN THE LAPTOP IS SHUT DOWN

I put the last bit in caps, as I complained that this wasn't the case when MacOS first gave us the opportunity to set a charging limit. The laptop would always charge to 100% if left on charge and shut down.

Loads of posters said that it would be impossible to do. I believed them, although I naively thought all that Apple would need to do is write a simple "80%" to somewhere in the SMC or pre-boot partition or something. Sure, I didn't have much of a clue, but it seems Apple does, and has implemented it.

Of course, all three above might be weird bugs and 3 will disappear when they fix 1 and 2.

Anyone successfully able to update brew?
I run brew commands often, no real problems. However, sometimes when using topgrade I do see an update attempt paused for quite a while before completing sometimes since b3 - but it always does complete with no error

What are you seeing?

For some reason Chromium browsers - namely old Chrome and freshly-installed Brave - refuse to load sites properly. Strange thing - if I restart browser, the tabs from previous session load immediately. I already tried flushing dns, clearing cache, turning graphic acceleration off. Nothing helps. Safari works well. It started not long after update to GoldenGate.

Is the Time Machine data corruption bug widespread or only affecting a few devices? I turned mine off for now just in case. Just curious how many people are dealing with this one.

Wondering if this new build has broken any apps that were working in the previous 2 builds? Always my biggest concern.
Logic Pro 12.3's Stem Splitter now crashes when opened, almost immediately. Some have said version 12.2 does not crash, so I restored v12.2 and it crashes too.

Don't know if this is a DP3 problem, a Logic Pro problem or both, but Logic Pro probably needs to go to the works but with issues category.

not a DP3 problem specifically, since people on tahoe are seeing it too. wish we could something out, since it then happens when you go back to 12.2. anyway, hoping we see a logic fix really soon.....
