But how many favorites written horizontally can you have in a bar, 5,6, 8 maybe ?Oh no I'm using favorite bookmark everyday. It's in fact the first thing I set up for Safari and the most used personally.

Whoa.. personally that will never work for me. Too convoluted. Too many things going on. I really don’t need all that color to distract me. All I need is a big enough target to tap.For me I have this :

I use Favorites to only access my favorite sites so thing like folder would be too complicated. Any site that I don’t access regularly I just type a few alphabets on the address bar and it will appear.
when you mouseover, the favicon turns into the close icon. be careful clicking on a tab when you have a lot of other tabs and they get small. you might wipe out the tab you wanted. The biggest issue is there is no longer an X to close the tab. Only way I've found is to Right Click > Close Tab, making a 1 click process a 2 click one.
I just liked the fact that they used space that it’s normally completely empty space. What’s the difference other than looks? To me having them on the top is worse mainly because if you only have one tab open the tab bar is still there. Is Safari the tab bar only shows up with multiple tabs.
Tab groups are the one useful and well done feature in this new version. The rest of the changes were pointless and made using the browser worse. This change may be more functional in a basic sense but it looks awful. They should just abandon this new UI, scrap tab group, and try again for macOS 13 and iOS/iPadOS 16
No, they might have restored some translucency in titlebars where it was there before thoughSo does Monterey go back to gray or at least tinted window title bars?
