Have you tried letting it run in "Automatic" mode?

Another option is to track down various files/.plist/docs/.log associated with it and trash them one by one and see if you've got a corrupt file.
If you go this route I'd quit the app, trash a particular file, launch it, tedious process but may yield results, also I'd leave it in "Automatic" mode while "testing".
Or just nuke all files associated with it and see if that works for you. I'm leaning to a corrupt file bc others are running without any issues.
These are all the files visible and invisible that I could find.
Im sure you know you have to quit the app "before" deleting any files associated with it.

Thanks for the info. I'll give that a shot. It does work in automatic mode, but I do like to set them manually when I'm doing specific things. Hopefully that works, otherwise it's not too big of a deal. I did notice some other users having the same issues on their github too.
