With a timer, at least I could estimate if I needed to bring my charger, or how soon to plug it in.
I guess I'll have to track my regular tasks and how long it takes for battery to discharge...


Well, i hope you don't plan on using an apple watch for that, because Apple are going to remove the clock and timer functions from it in the next watchOS update. They've found that people having been using them to find out how long things take.
 
Yes Apple, even if this is legitimately has well-intentions, this looks bad for you either way no?

That said, that indicator was useless anyway because its entirely based on what your doing at any given point. It'd be more useful if it was smart enough to look at your average usage pattern then give you an estimation based on that.
 
Really, I had to check the calendar to be sure it wasn't April Fools Day. This is unbelievable. I've used the "time remaining" mode for as long as I can remember and know just what to expect from it on my MacBook Air. Now they are going to pull this useful feature from all computers to avoid embarassment over the performance of one new model?

Another "courageous" move. :rolleyes:
